Hahahah, I can't imagine how painful reading this as it came out and seeing "No chapter next issue" at the bottom must have been (or maybe I can due to this week's One Piece but back to the topic at hand).



Luckily I am not reading as it came out and can instead read over 100 chapters in a day.



Also, oh look, this is the first post in this discussion thread in over 7 years. Must get more people to read this.

If by that, you mean a PLOT POINT, yeah. Come on, it's pretty obvious that it will lead to something way beyond romantic conflict. We're given plot hints every chapter lately.



I only realized after a while how important this chapter is. I mean Hayate in love? Doesn't happen, he has so much on his mind with Nagi and pretty much everybody else. He's unable to put a person over people. Also he's a bit dense and has that backstory - if the manga took itself just a little bit more seriously, he wouldn't be able to trust people at all because of what he went through in his childhood. I think even his love for Athena is based on the fact she saved him. Kind of like it went with Nagi, only in this case it was mostly her who got the romantic vibes out of it.



Surprisingly Hayate is a bit like Medaka from Medaka Box O_O Only not so much played for action.



All in all - I think Hayate has yet to become a person who can love others romantically.

I think in the end he somehow WILL end up with Nagi. It's just we have to see how Hata-sensei make it the most awesome arc ever xD *well up till now A-tan arc is still the best*
