Actually, that was his second kiss in the present time. He was kissed by Athena after the events of defeating King Midas. It was during 265, I think. It showed them when they were little during the kiss but it was clear that they kissed in the present. Hayate was apologizing for the horrible things he said to Athena and kissed. Having a RukaxHayate arc would be nice actually. Just hope that it lasts quite a bit.
