It's impressive how Ruka couldn't read the mood. Athena did it almost instantly after hearing Hayate talk about Nagi, though she didn't bother with it for long. I was waiting a similar reaction, or perhaps acting fast is her reaction.

Honestly, Hina had a LOT of chances. She had so many chances, it was like a dead giveaway. I'm thinking that she may even be more of an airhead than Hayate. -sigh- I want her to end up with Hayate, but for now, I'm rooting for my 2nd favorite character, Ruka! I think Hata-sensei may make them a couple. I just hope they do. I thought the Royal Garden only opens to the ones with a King's Jewel. Hayate's jewel was destroyed by Nagi, wasn't it? I don't think that will happen, even though they did mention the Royal Garden like a couple of times at the Violet Mansion. The thing that might most likely happen is that Mikado would give another King's Jewel to Hayate. I don't know, it might just happen with Nagi going to his mansion again and all that.

Yep, my thoughts exactly.  Not sure who it would be (maybe all three?), but if this does happen, stuff's about to get real.  Especially if Ayumu sees it...

                        Hayate thinks about how Ruka was an idol who entertains all her fans. Ruka asks Hayate why he became a butler and he told her about the debt. Ruka understands the pain Hayate went through and realized she really does love Hayate. As Hayate was about to cook something for the both of them, he turns around to a KISS from RUKA!





OMG GREAT CHAPTER! It's been a while since something this good happened in Hayate no Gotoku!

Now that was an advance.

I wonder if they are going to be caught.

doesn't that make her the only person to ever actually make a move on him like that?
