Shijou Saikyou no Deshi Kenichi Chapter 537 Discussion

I was kinda disappointed that the masters didn't fight....but it was still a good chapter

Maybe it's not the time for the masters to fight yet. On the other hand, how can Shigure group fight against 7 members of the Hachiou Executioner Blade?!

What a tease, but I suppose it isn't that surprising.

Everything can't be action all the time. These types of chapters are just as important. It would be a pretty bad manga if it was.

^ I agree with you, But I think the series may have passed the point of showing Kenichi's training, or gags at the dojo. Kenichi is at the point (from disciple to master) that he can only grow through fighting experiences. Moreover, the main plot has kicked in with the full court press by Yami. There is no peace time for Kenichi and his friends to hang out anymore.

I think there is TOO MUCH action in Kenichi, not too little actually. They just keep going from a fight to fight, I actually want the fighting to stop but it first needs to be started so it can finish. This is a common mistake than many mangakas make, I would rather read 10 casual chapters of Kenichi where he is just training and with some gags at the Dojo. He just keeps writing fight after a fight and it is getting tiresome.



Problem is we have seen the training bit plenty and as long as they show every now and then that he still trains no sense focusing anymore on it. That is unless he is learning a new skill or something out of the ordinary.

Oh, I'm kinda disappointed with Master's fight being canceled, but the ending was awesome.
