I Became the Villain’s Childhood Friend Chapter 40 Discussion

Although the childhood friends to lovers troupe is one my favorites, I have a hard time liking and continue reading this one as I read the Korean raws and the comments (where majority is negative). The progress between the main leads is too slow and their friendship for like, 20 chapters or more, is so awkward especially since we see the fl's thoughts a lot. Instead of romance (which I originally expected), we'll feel more thriller ambiance. The family structure also confuses me (which I hope will be cleared by translator-nim/s).
