Translation is pretty good. Any errors are “forgettable, ” as in I can’t really recall any.But I dislike the bits that continue to use Japanese terms (onions, -san, -sama, etc.). I’ve mentioned this plenty and I’ve also known that this translator does this, so that’s all I’ll mention. What I really don’t like are parts of the story telling. Twice there was mention of the MC (not) doing something in the other world. But that makes no sense, until explained later.Spoiler
He says he spent six years without eating or drinking, but doesn’t explain how (self-devouring and then “mana-fed”) until after second time, a number of chapters after the first mention. And even that is wrong, since he did self-devour, literally biting and eating bits of himself and drinking his own blood.
[collapse]Hinting in story telling is something that makes the reader expect it to be explained later, not “wtf, that doesn’t make sense” now.The other issue is a “trope” now expected from Japanese writers... the inevitable inclusion of many paragraphs of “cooking.” I automatically start skipping at this point. At least it’s limited to most of one chapter and not multiple chapters for one single dish or some s*upidity I’ve seen in other stories.
