The time stop uncle is, essentially, a philosophical tool. It helps the reader to answer questions many people have about societal morality within the abscence of witnesses or consequence. That is to say: if I could 100% get away with something, would I do it? Most people get stuck on the hypothetical, they question the method in which such a crime could be done with a 100% certainty of guilt-free absolution and no societal consequence and this subconsciously holds them back from answering with sincerity. But the ability to stop time solves this dillima. It is an ultimate power, one which can be ab*sed with no conseqences. Stopping time doesn't hurt the user, it doesn't corrupt their soul or drain their lifespan. Nobody can guard against it or detect it. You can do anything and you will always be safe from criticism or accusation. With no threat of a consequence, many people would choose to do things they normally wouldn't do. Thus the meme of the time stopping breeing uncle was born. A carefree force of nature that takes advantage of others with a smile on his face and a skip in his step. While most readers understand the time-stopping breeding uncle as an archetype from a popular subgenre of modern p*rnography, this mental exercise has it's origin in popular western science fiction from the pulp era, showing a brief resurgance during the early ages of television on shows such as the twilight zone. At first, I assumed the author chose the title for this book for shock and meme value. I ignored the minor foreshadowing offered by the original uncle who insisted he acted the way he did because he had no choice, implying that his behavior was predestened. That is a rather hard pill to swallow and seems like a particularly shallow arguement to defend what is essentially a hardcore villian's motivation. Was the author trying to be meta to justify his meme title with some weak 'i was written this way uwu' explaination?Later on the author expands on these themes and keeps returning to reference the original uncle, his actions, and how they effect the world/story. But by chapter 37, the whole morality involved in being able to stop time and how easy it is to ab*se starts to become a more important focus on the story. At first, the MC is seemingly a one trick poney, and he only has one thing he can do which he does. But there's so much more he could be doing with it. And he doesn't, on purpose. Why? Because he doesn't want to violate his own bottom line of morality and ethics. It would be so easy to act like the original uncle. Not just for s*x, but to get everything he wants. Money, power, comfort, and so on. The original uncle was so fat and disgusting looking primarily because of how lazy his powers made him. He simply took the easy route in all respects of life, he stole things when he wanted them, he plundered if someone had something he didnt, he ran away when things got dangerous and would vanish when people got suspicious. He was an absolute tr*sh human being with no bottom line and this is all before the game-story even begins. The MC doesn't want to be like that. As a consequence, he does things the hard way, and you can't help but cheer him on as he takes the harder road. This th**ny path is what impresses the people around him, and draws them nearer to him. It requires effort, and it requires sacrifice. The start is pretty rough and generic, but not unforgivably so. The story and the world building start to get expanded upon around chapter 25, and new ideas and concepts start getting introduced around the mid 30s. Spoiler
The demons may not be what the MC originally assumed, and this by extension starts to give credit to the original claim that the time stop breeding uncle didn't really end up how he wanted to do due to his own desire but rather as a possible consequence of external factors as hard as that might be to believe.
[collapse] The author expands on both the mc's background as a player and the history of the game itself. The story stops feeling generic and vague and gets more fleshed out over time. This story contains heavy themes: ab*se, betrayal, neglect and abandonment. This is a dark fantasy world where everyone has a tragic backstory. But the MC strives to be everyone's light... while stuck in the body of the time stopping breeding uncle.
