The Impact Of The Villainess’ Fake Marriage On The Ending Chapter v116 Discussion

I'm deeply enjoying it so far.

Our Female Lead, Adeline Tien is a minor villainess killed by Duke Kael Inver for attempting to mu*der Vanessa Felix.

She has three brothers and they were orphaned quite young and rely on each other a bit. Around the same time her parents died she awoke as Adeline.

While she has traits associated obsessed with ensuring aspects of the plot, more specifically the relationship between Vanessa and Kael works she has deeper motivations for why. And I think the delivery of her character is likable, hilarious and determined.

Our female lead Adeline Tien wants Duke Kael Inver and the "OG FL" Vanessa to get together

(who is probably a white lotus let's be real), small problem, she accidentally attracts attention to KArlen, partially due the Crown Prince's involvement and not wanting to dance with him agrees much to her dismay.

She honestly wants nothing to do with him and lies about having a fiancee and other shenangains.

It's that lack of interest and complete done attitude which seems to be what attracts Kael to her. And props to her she actively tries to dissuade him but to predictable results. It backfires magnificently in her face.

• • Disguised as a man she interacts with mercenaries and accidentally encounter Kael when recruiting a mercenary and mouths off to him and takes some blow to his pride and tries to use societal attitudes to her advantage.. She was told quite frequently

• • "No man can stand women who are smug and pretend to be smart. So if you want to find a better husband, just smile beautifully without speaking"

• • Unfortunatly this turns him on. And wonders how she knew the mercernary was in training to be a holy priest and cound't be bought. (FL brother Simeon in training to be a Priest)

• • She leaves and he hears hoofs and tries to catch up when she just puts her hand and stops him. She already noticed the horse bounding her way.
    He's very amused.

• • She asks he be quite about her disguise. What's in it for him? Well she just saved his life so..... and cuts off his attempts to escort her

• • She leaves. He asks his shadow to figure out if she has a fiancee or anyone lined up.

• • The Crown Prince (Yellow hair and Orange eyes) shows up which is rare but is mainly because of Adeline because he is also itnerested in her.- Adeline remarks how crazy he is. In OG novel he fought with Kael over Vanessa. they never met before so she has no f*cking clue why he is acting that way.

• • Kael comes which is massive because usually he doesn't turn up to events like this either.

• • Adeline hates this. She is this close to losing it.

• • approached by Kael and scares her. She basically asks why the f*ck is he there. She tries the fiancee excuse but he just smiles. bit*h knows. She tries to pull a weak excuse but accidentally twists her ankle.

• • He tries to help and she tries to avoid him but aqquised since Kael does make a bit of sense.

• • Two women witness this

Lady Letta and Lady Vanessa Felix the OG FL as possible marriage proposal.

• • Adeline is pissed for Sophia's sake and her debutante being overshadowed by this possible gossip and tells Kael that and leaves.

• • She fixes her own leg up thanks to knowledge from her bro Leo

• • Tries to find Vanessa. Finds Letta instead.

• • Vanessa was saying to everyone it wasn't a mrraige proposal and she was coercing Kael Inver into a marriage proposal. (OG V was catagorised as saint and even forgave Adeline for the mu*der)

• • Upon hearing this. Adeline approaches her and tells her to to keep it up. Works for her if she is seen as a villain.

• • Kael hears them and belts out laughing at this. Unprecendented for a cold Duke of the North. - LOL

• • Adeline is willing to implicate herself in horrible gossip than deal with him. Yes. Yes she will.

• • Kael is pissed at Vanessa and mentions to Adeline about switching his strategy.

• • He remembers Adeline words about Sophia and offers to dance with her.

Debutante Aftermath. - Adeline really tries to get him to hate her.

• • Kael and Zion discuss the possible marriage. Kael is just dead set on it.
    But Adeline is not one easily won over.

• • She was the only one who didn't blush or swoon at him. She actively tried to shove him away and keep her distance.
    He is confident for the possible contract she is the best option since she won't love him.

• • Crown Prince arrives at the scene. Father is wise. He isn't. Lacks political sense and has inferiority complex. -directed at you guessed it f*cking Kael.

• • CP asks if KAel wants to marry Adeline and mentions it will be treason to do so. Kael retorts with he'll show him treason then. LOL

• • Adeline visits and unintentionally pisses off CP. She checks him out. He notices and she admits he's not bad looking. He just laughs.

• • She thanks him about with Sophia and tries to give him blue flowers laced with a f*cking HATE potion. (My Girl as one commenter said was really trying to reverse roofie him PPFFFFFTTTT)

• • Potions doesn't work.

OPPS!!!! Doesn't help it's illegal

• • Girlie took a gamble and Kael now proposes she marry him and if not he'll report her.
    Adeline tells him to report her. - We appreciate a girl who is determined to get out of it.

• • He explains to her he basically needs a Grand Duchess- he even allows her to have lovers if she wants

• • she realises he's suggesting a sham marriage essentially. -two things. Don't fall in Love and Never expect it. (Classic stuff)

• • That is why Kael wanted her.

• • She's tries to f*cking get out of it and plays her most desperate card yet!
    She can see the future.

Her: Emperor going to die today

Him: What?

ZION (his aide) rushing in a minute later: DUKE YOU'LL NEVER GUESS WHAT THE EMPEROR DEAD!

• • She basically tells him if he marries her, he'll die.

• • Jokes on her he's into that f*cking sh*t and all the more determined for her to be his bride.

• • MISSION FAILED WE'LL GET EM NEXT TIME.

Adeline and Vanessa

• • Vanessa "loves" Kael and wants Adeline to essentially hand him over.

• • In her narration Adeline is prepared to kill Vanessa and lose her life to Kael. And she reveals she has attempted su*cide before to return to her world- none succeded- believes only Kael can do so.

• • To her credit Adeline tries to help and even give her tips but well. Vanessa thinks she is playing her with the whole hard-to-get trick.

• • Vanessa even tries to deliberately catch his attention by falling in the river at a social events.
    and Adeline jumps in to help.

• • Chaos ensued.

• • Kael put his jacket on Adeline because of course he did.

Crown Prince shoots himself in the foot.

  • Her brother is captured by the Corrupted folks and the imperials refuse to send a rescue unit.
  • Crown Prince wants to marry her to spite Kael.
  • Adeline turns to Kael and agress to marry him if he rescues her brother and agrees to sign the contract.
  • the only reason she agreed to marry him was to save her brother and f*ck over the Crown Prince- we stan a legend.
  • he already rescued him thanks to using portals
  • They agree to it. She has to pretend to be in love because if she actually falls in love the marriage will end. (supposedly lol)
  • The game begins and Adeline is trying to figure out how to dissolve her engagement prior to the marriage or find a way to be the first grand duchess to divorce in the empire.

That's just a few of the instances. you might ask why is she pushy into getting these two together. Welp.

She wants to return home. She has tried drowning herself in a lake but was rescued by a sibling before and tried poision but to no avail.

She knows deep down, a feeling that Kael Inver kills her, she could possibly return home.

Beyond Orange was the Og novel and both maid and Male Lead mentioned they read a version of it which involes Dame Collins but for Adeline it was the one which broadcasted Kael and Vanessa's "love story"

Hell at the start she distanced herself from her brothers but well they close that gap and refused. she has no clue what will happen to them with the deviations and will do anything to protect them.
