I think this is quite compelling. Its a little hammy here and there, but the protagonist is likeable, and it seems like a consistent quality is there. I give it 4 stars, but it could become even better. I think ultimately what fails, is our Protagonists seemingly hinted at love interest.A certain royal, feels a little too dreamy for me to be frank. Given the great charm in making the protagonist have deficits I find that the royal, being idealized in form to be an annoying quality. If he was simply above average, I find that great quality could be established in the romantic element. There would be a really charming element that elevates the relationship. Right now he's kind of the only element that really makes me frustrated. The main character struggles through quite a lot and the reality of her reincarnation sort of under cuts it's message, and the next part that really collapses that tree, is the prince being carved out of stone-perfect. Its just a shame that it feels like the direction is headed plodding with him as the finish line. I wish that element of charm wasn't just a clever illusion, to onboard readers.
