Like another comment mentioned, it can either be a silly sweet story or a serious romance. The ML was exasperating, it's not called straight-A male cancer for nothing ah, what's wrong with his head at the beginning.MC demonstrated to be rather mature during the novel, although his low self steem got the better of him and did some bad things...I believe that although the summary seems ridiculous with all those exes, the author was expressing different types of toxic love.My thoughts on every lover:Movie emperor:[/Lin Shuo was indecisive, not willing to answer Pei Xiao when he asked about future marriage. Instead of consoling his boyfriend when he was having a fake scandal with an actress he just left him in the cold so that that thought cooled down.]Sugar daddy:[/Huo Beiqian... idk, he was supposed to be his sugar daddy, but I think they liked each other a bit. But he was too arrogant and held contempt to this male omega lover. Belittling him and his wishes instead of admitting his crush.]Childhood sweetheart:[/Zhao Yuanzhuo was an absolute fail as first love. Omega are disdained and when their relationship was revealed, he didn't protect MC. When MC got injured and going through a harsh time, he just fled from embarrassmentand guilt!!]MC and ML:[/straight A cancer, that's all. All mighty and clean, everyone is at fault but me. To be a young Forbes millionaire, he lacks huge EQ and made grave mistakes that ruined MCs actor career, although unintentionally and shows his irresponsibility. Huge brain hole. MC has low self steem and considers himself scheming scum, true to a certain point because some of his actions were borderline illegal, although they were on self defense. He has a hard time loving and being loved after so many failed relationships. ]Nothing to say about the trainee, he was young and pitiful, no chance.I actually enjoyed how every character was fleshed out, there isn't exactly a tragic backstop to very bad behavior, it just showed how imperfect love and human nature actually is. And the happy ending was satisfactory, apologies were made and misunderstandings cleared. Loose ends were tied well. The novel is short and therefore the ending was somewhat rushed. Haven't read the extras yet.Enjoyable, sometimes hilarious, others enfuriating.
