Haaaa. So. I think the big strength of this book is it's characters and it's setting. It is remarkably down to earth for what is basically a superhero novel. It isnt really a spoiler, but I'll spoiler it anyways because Im going to talk about some plot elements.

Spoiler

I think the romance elements got in the way of the plot on a few occasions. For one, I just dont get the canon romance. There aren't sparks, there's barely chemistry if I'm being honest.

I think that Choi Yichan's story if unrequited love could have still worked to make him go to the lengths that he did, but just dipped after his story was over.

Which is another thing, I dont think romance was being used as a story element as much as it was being used as a checkbox of things to do in a slice of life novel.

Finally, I think the end of the story dragged on for too long. I feel like if there was just one chapter of everyone waking up on the day the cafe was reopening, it would have felt just as satisfying as dragging it out for 10 chapters of getting the band back together.

Regardless of my personal issues with the story, I do think it's a lovely novel and Cabin Four Translations is an excellent translator and host. Enjoy!

This was absolutely awesome. I started not to read and thought this would be another book where the girl was always mistreated but it surprised me. Needs a few grammar and punctuation fixes but still was awesome.
