I usually avoid gender bender genre because I don't know how should I feel about the MC. This here is a magnificent storytelling of a Ghost story game more than meets the eye. The author seems also like to incorporate other popular IPs into the story. They are there to the story not just because of fanfic.English is not my first language, but the translator made a good choice of translation so that I can follow the story organically. The footnotes are there for some things that may be obscure to some, but they are not on the way. That's why, I think kudos to the translator to make the footnotes available so anyone needs additional context can follow, but considerate enough to not break those who are still having immersion on the story.
