Hol Horse is always a joy to watch. And what a nice winning return of the rich lover !

Reading above, I see that peoples thought the "real identity" of this Nena made sense. I must admit I spend the whole Empress chapters wondering if it was simply a case of "infectious stand" (and its first victim) then had no idea how to explain her until the last page cleared it all.

Heh, this chapter pretty much proves that they are not safe anywhere, anytime because doctors like that can get them where they least expected.

The page this chapter featuring the cast was really pretty but somewhat sad because it was distinctly lacking Abdul.  But that’s besides the point, Hol Horse showed up and we got a charming scene.  He was so sure that J. Geil was still alive that he arrogantly challenged them but as it became more and more evident they had won, he tailed it!  He did the Joestar ultimate technique, so props to him.  And he had some wisdom that it’s better to be number 2 than number 1.  That said, Jotaro caught him and the gang surrounded him.  When I was shocked to see such a cool stand would go down to what has to occur at some point, a 4 on 1 stand beat down, it actually didn’t.  The girl from before came back into the story, saving Hol Horse.  It was already good use of her character and put a scared but potentially still dangerous Hol Horse back into the world.

It was then however that the girl revealed herself to be a threat.  Her blood smudged onto Joseph turned into a fleshy mouth bud which is connected to her.  It appears she is actually the Empress so ultimately she did work together with the Emperor.  Humorously, this isn’t the first time Joseph has had a fleshy, possibly sentient blob on him.  Let’s hope he learned from ACDC.

Polnareff suggested he has grown from this, and that he will continue to fight against Dio with his comrades.  No more splitting up and arrogance which will risk their lives…  Now, he’s somewhat of a Kakyoin type, both were originally mind controlled and now, like how Kakyoin has a debt to pay to Jotaro on top of his kind heart, Polnareff has a debt to pay to Abdul!  I do wonder if Enya will end up taking up the flame of vengeance for the sake of her son like Polnareff did for his sister.  The cycle of revenge and all that.

Creepy thing appeared on Joseph's arm!

They've barely had the time to move on and a new enemy has already appeared.

Polnareff sure did learn his lesson from Avdol on not splitting up during the duration of their journey.

Who knew that the girl who actually fell in love with the Emperor and ultimately helped him escape was the Empress user all along? That's a really cool detail because I didn't expect it but it made so much sense. There's an Evil Dead 2 feel this time with the rogue limb and all. Hope he won't cut it off though.
