Can Jap Isekai Novels send their MC in a world that is not inspired by Fantasy Medieval Europe?

The writers of modern isekai don't really care about any of that stuff either.  I sort of like reading these junk isekai stories and the writers certainly aren't interested in putting good material into their works.  Compare these to the likes of something like Overlord and it's readily apparent how much more effort is put into things like characterization, plot, world elements, and reader engagement.  Compare the same to the kind of Chinese books I like to read and the difference is just utterly gross.

I'd already be happy if the isekai authors wouldn't Blitzkrieg their culture and food into fictional fantasy medieval europe. The only thing I can get behind are those asian high tech toilets, those things are dope as hell.
But those 30-chapter-quest-for-rice or half-ugly-asian-suddenly-being-popular-for-no-reason arcs really need to stop... And while plolygamy may have been somewhat of a thing, the overpopulation of modern beauties is... They really need to check their facts: In medieval europe fat, pale men and big, muscled women were attractive. For men tanned skin and muscles were a sign of the lower working class and for women the main purpose was to bear as many children as possible, thus they needed to be as sturdy as possible. And medieval people were all total racists. If an asian would suddenly appear they'd just accuse him of witchcraft and burn, scald or whatever them.
I still like reading Isekai (since there doesn't seem to be any other kind of fantasy anymore) but the writers need to get creative now that friggin everybody does Isekai

Isekai Ojisan had that, people mistaking him for an orc and tries to kill him.

Demon sword maiden, Chinese novel about isekai gender bending in another world Japan with demons and power level. It's heading toward a botanical garden of yuri.

I do wish Japanese authors try writing a fantasy medieval Japan and not default to historical sengoku era.

I would like Roman empire era like world.
It was multicultural enough that you might be able to blend in and not be killed as a witch/devil/heather/etc if you were careful and has a good language cheat.
