Can Jap Isekai Novels send their MC in a world that is not inspired by Fantasy Medieval Europe?

An isekai set in modern times where a 22-year-old Japanese girl (specifically, from Kochi City) that is a fan of Fox movies lands into an AU where the Disney-Fox merger is still pending. Ultimately, the story resolves to where the merger doesn't take place and 20th Century Fox as we knew them still exists!

forum.novelupdates.com/blogs/my-take-on-pending-and-completed-media-mergers-or-buy-outs.2904 helps give a better view of my opinion of these big media mergers.

It is simply the most popular, but I've seen japanese isekai everything from the demon world to future world.

Exactly, happened to be with Ballistic Weaponry.
You either have to be a masochist or an elitist narcissistic to keep translating what people don't read

An harem/reverse harem about American getting sent to an AU (alternate universe) of 1920s silent film America would be interesting.

The market decides
You can decide by not reading them and translators will stop picking them to translate.

Geez, dont remind me of the food trope... every Mc in isekai is a master chief and food gourmet, like.. seriously? lets just throw some food arc in here for half the volume. kills me hard..
