The evil step mom will be first be confined in her own courtyard, after the stupid dad sonehow got the balls to reign her in, then MC managed to anger her to the point of causing a heart attack. That attack caused her to be paralyzed in half of her body, she was still alive in the end i think. The step sis, MC after countless schemes had her ruined to death,iirc. Just that know that she was raped by this dandy noble son, of the Cang family who would later die, but she managed to get herself married to ex-husband while her pregnancy is still unnoticeable. Only stepsis, the ex-husband and MC (with some of her maidservants) knew the truth of her pregnancy, the in-laws family only thought that the ex and stepsis has private dalliance and they were too overjoyed to have the MC's family's help to free their son that they immediately agreed to the wedding. The stepsis was too stupidly in love with ex that she just not think about the result of her lies just to marry him. At the end, the Cang(?) head, will discover his only surviving direct descendant and will rush to the Su's to get the child back and the whole truth about the child not being the ex's child will be exposed. The dumb father, sorry, i don't remember just that he was still an official and has concubines where the new pet concubine, Li-something, gave birth to a daughter and jue(MC's brother) is still the di-son and is now successful in life.

Welp, I'm reading or mtl this. So far, still with Ouyang's family feud and not yet touching the royal, we're just entering the banquet from the Old Princess.
But really, I dont know whether I'm still gonna continuing it.
So far, reading MC and her Ouyang's family feud is enough, not a lot of characters involved here so I dont feel confused much. But after this, we'll enter to bigger enemies and more characters.

About Xiao Tianyi,
I am a little confused... but so far, he manages to escape and fight back, once Xiao Yan's faction take the throne back & turn the tables (they become the legit heirs, Qin Wang the rebel).
He ends up in a neighbouring country and I think he tricked the Emperor to give his daughter (or sister?) in marriage, so he could kill them and become that country's emperor.
He already had some land he managed to retain through the war.
The thing is, the other country's party also wanted to use & trick him, but they got killed.
Then, after MC has miscarriaged, Crown Princess has been poisoned (and Lin Wenyuan framed of doing it), and Xiao Yan has "slept" with her; a commitive from Xiao Tianyi come with her brother, to try to make peace.
Tianyi sends her a guqin, and when the ambassador offers it to MC (in front of açl the royals), he never uses her Wangfei title but her Junzhu's, letting her know that Tianyi disregards her marriage, and the gift is like a proposal one.

Then, the plot of poisoning Juer (MC's brother) happens.
Is quite long, I will only say that Ouyang Nuan was a little too dense to not realize immediately that everythings was Xiao Tianyi's schemme in order to force her to leave with him.
At the most crucial moment, she pretends to kill herself with poison, not after telling Tianyi (and Zhonghua is also there), that she loved him in the past but can't reciprocate since his ways of forcing her, she doesn't like those. And that she realized she didn't want to leave her husband.
During that plot, Juer's bethroted's family try to cancel the marriage. It is Chu Wangfei, but in the end,they get married & Juer is also cured.

Then, a princess and a prince from a neighbourg country and a besuty from Tianyi's country (the one he became Emperor of) are sent to the Crown Prince's manor (Xiao Yan) with the purpose to make peace.
Meanwhile, MC deals with both of the step-mother-in-laws, Dong Hao, maids, so she suffers a loss & als gets confined for a little while.
She seems to team up with Prince Yan (Crown Prince) & Tianyi to attempt to stuff the Princess from that country as a concubine for ML. Although they first try with the other beauty (Yan something).
ML refuses (first that Yan girl, after Xiao Yan switches to the Princess, the other), MC refuses saying it is not healthy to have so many women & her husband has injuries ( implying he has some sort of disease) and they anger Xiao Yan and other elders.
The thing is, MC is more ruthless now, but at the same time it seems she lacks some sharpness to anticipate certain schemmes.
The villains don't go easily away, either. Perhaps, there are too many of them.
Also, during this arch, as a resulto of Tianyi's schemmes (poisoning Juer & sendind that beauty for Zhonghua), MC & ML kept opening their hearts and mind to each other.
ML has been more concrete at expressing his feelings (saying literally that he loves her), and has told her he fell in love a long time ago and was determined to get her, but that he also tried to be cold & distant with her to not reveal his heart.
MC has started to acknowledge she's developed feelings for him, and is no longer resigned to the possiblity of him having concubines (even though she told the Crown Prince she wanted to be the only wife), she starts showing more possessiveness and some sweet & funny moments also happen between the couple.
By the way, The couple of brother & sister from Tianyi's country end up in MC's & ML's house anyway.
The step-mother seems to be on the schemme, as she asks her to accompany her to the temple and, in the way back, a fire happens at the Crown Prince's house (they're passing by), and they stop to try to save that Princess but, in the end, is her whom takes an arrow directed at MC.So they take them both home.
And now, Dong Hao has some other schemme in her hands that probably goes beyond the attempt of stuffing the princess as Zhonghua's concubine.
