Ugh. It took me some chapters to understand but, after MC makes peace with Sun Luonin (sister-in-law), the sociopath Xiao Yan (Crown Prince) keeps pestering her, since he wasn't the main culprit behind her almost-rape, Ouyang Nuan treats him a little better (even thouhh it's just a facade).
He threatens her with MC's brother's marriage (Juer), so MC enlists her cousin to find a girl that looks similar to her (Nuan).
The thing is he promises that if MC sleeps with him (he is honestly repulsive), he won't screw his brother's marriage, so MC tricks him & gets that girl to sleep with him.
uGh, gotta see where that goes, as Xiao Yan hasn't enough & still wants to steal her as a concubine.

Dong Hao's downfall is spectacular, as she has even a worse secret!
Summing as much as possible:
Everything starts to unfold when Helan, Zhonghua's illegitimate cousin (the one bornt from a stolen wife) gets killed.
He is ambushed but what trully kills him is a belt Sun Luoning gave him. So she ends up understanding her husband, Zhongjun (ML's brother) is behind it.
She has told MC many times that Zhongjun (eldest son of Yan Wang, ML's brother) is a cruel madman.
Right at that time, Sun's son (? that part is super confusing) stabs to almost death Zhongjun, so Sun is about to be charged with conspiring to kill her own husband.
Dong is eager to get rid of her but Ouyang Nuan (MC) stalls her untill Yan Wang (ML's father) and ML arrive.
In the end, they turn the tables on Dong Hao, as Nuan manages to reveal she used Sun Luonin's servant to frame her.
While Dong Hao is being detained, one f her moms seeks MC & tells her Dong Hao's biggest secret. She does some investigation and sets everything to let everyone know her biggest crime:
She Killed the former Wang Hao's first son (Yan Wang's deceased main wife, Zhonghua's mother) & replaced it with her own son.
So, Zhongjun is not even ML's biological brother.
It seems that when Dong Hao entered the Wangfu, Yan Wang's mother forced her to abort her first child, so when the main wife entered the door, there would be no child before she produced the first one.
Dong Hao hates the main wife for that (not her fault) so she arranges to assist her on labor, kills her son when she faints of exhaustion, uses a drug to provoke her own labor & replaces the babies.
Real Zhongjun is still buried in the backyard, so the evidence is astonishing.
As a note, Zhonghua's mother wasn't that innocent either. Well, she schemmed against Ouyang Nuan's mother, we know that, but she was betrayed by her own maid because she was a real btch to her.
That maid was actually her illegitimate sister (daughter of one of her father's slaves, never recognized), and Wang Hao (ML's mother) promised her she would become Yan Wang's tongfang after marriage. Not only she forgot, she tried to humilliate her asking her to marry another slave (so her status would never improve) and, since that servant was in love with Yan Wang and felt insulted, she helped Dong Hao with the baby issue.
There is a lot to still be unfold from this arch but, so far Dong Hao is death (it looks like she was Gu poisoned), Zhonghua & Nuan have some short cold war (because she unfold everything without consulting him first & he's afraid she'll get hurt) that ends up soon (MC finally gets affected by ML's cold treatment & he feels happy to know he's become that important to her), and Helan turns out to be alive!
Since Zhaojung has lost his heir position & Nuan used the trick to say Sun Luoning had been tampered to become crazy, Yan Wang plans to let her go with a fake death by sickness... she can leave to be together with Helang.
It is a little "unique" that in this story, sometimes foes turn to be friends. Even when Sun Luoning caused MC's miscarriage (her part was poisoning furniture, feeding her food to help cause it, etc.), MC understands once Sun is cornered (she kills her maid, then she publicly frames her at the temple) and surrenders that it was someone else's pawn & that someone may want to have them divided. So they get pass their mutual grievances and actually become good allies.

In a new arch, we find out that the other Country Princess is not a real princess, as she was adopted and she's suffered quite a lot since she's constantly used as a pawn (a sex one) to schemme against other countries and kill their princes/generals/etc. and steal land.
MC is pregnant.
The Princess is asking MC to help her (I guess to break free from that awful country's royal family) and also reveals that Dong Hao was a spy from her country (her mother was from there) and that she killed Dong Hao because it was ordered.
