The academies  each have their own specialities. That's how they differ. Each academy invites students according to their powers/aptitudes. 

I think that's how this novel is moving towards. Taiwanese novels have this kind of J-manga elements within them, so its not a surprise to find it in unique legend.

Yes, the memory was with the MC. Some parts still are (till season 1end). That's why he is good at nature/elf spells. But he either gave it up or it was sealed. The mtl wasn't clear here. As for his power, it's supposed to be like 'wish' but again, the mtl wasn't clear here. 

So you would have think and so did I. I thought he would still be the weak kitty he was in season 1 in season 2.

Imagine my surprise when I started season 2 and found it was not so. The multiple side characters were right. The MC fit right into the power structure in the school in his second year Aka season 2 after adapting to it in season 1. In many ways, while the songs/chants/spells will be missed, the MC seems a better and more powerful character than ever. You see that right off the bat when someone challenges him in a fit of random (misdirected)  anger and he goes, "sure, why not. Now or later?" 

I think she already knew? Because everybody in the school knows his senior, and they all went on a family trip together (the cruise arc). I'm pretty sure she was avoiding him. If I recall correctly, she's a purple robe.
