A Step Into The Past

She's one of the more memorable and unique female characters in Chinese novels. Sure, many readers dislike her characterization, but how often do you get to read about a woman who became part of the MC's harem, only to turn away from him later and then regret it all at the end. Senseless to some, tragic to others. Personally I think she's quite realistic, as if one could keep multiple women happy by disappearing for lengths of time and reappearing with other love interests later on, expecting the previous women to remain content.

Zhao Qian is the King's daughter whom he plans to get married to the crown prince of Wei.
Prince Shaoyan tries to use some medicine to have his way with her . MC finds bout the plot and saves her
Zhao Qian and MC becomes a couple.
she follows him almost everywhere.
I think around Book 11 when they were going to the kingdom of Chu they get ambushed by the Premier of Qin?
Ji Yanran tries to save her but was shot by an arrow and she dies.

Been a long time since I read this one. Who's Zhao Qian? Is it the lustful lady Zhao? If it is,
she wavers back and forth, but ultimately is loyal to mc. Despite that, she stays in Zhao, while mc goes to Qin. Ultimately falls sick and dies.

Speaking of which, someone knows a novel similar to this one? I started reading the other one on this site- something about 2 boy thiefs and a cultivation tehnique but couldn't really get into it since I'm reading so many novels at once and this one didn's seem so interesting, actually maybe the same as the "A step into the past" with its horrible start.

I finished it, but skipped most parts and read the parts that are essential in the story line. Too much NTR especially at the first half of it.

Zhao Ya is the lustful lady - The King of Zhao's sister.?

probably something like 2/3's into the story. (By my estimation.)

They were pretty far back too, though. It's easy to screw up, die, and then the dominoe effect continues all the way to modern day.

BUT again, the "do as you please" in the time travel novel is a cop out by the author. If the mc has no obstacle, it becomes wish fulfillment.
