ive read the novel but only 29 chaps so yeahActually the count is from the Leschine family where that family was accused for treason by the cabezo family and they’ve been exile or smthg. The count want to take a revenge by using Heart of Olga. The Heart of Olga was the continent’s best magic stone that governs life and death. It was made from the heart of Olga, an ancient wizard. But the Heart of Olga was split in half and lost its power, and the Duke of Cabezo and the Duke of Leschine kept half each. (in other words,if anyone that have the full heart of olga, they’ll be so powerful & can become the emperor). And the whole of Heart of Olga can only be obtained by sacrificing the family member of the other family (either the cabezo or Leschine family). So they adopt emilie cus they want her blood to sacrifice her.
Long story short, Victoire wants to have a complete Heart of Olga using emilie (soon to be elisabeth) blood.He’s using emilie to get revenge on the Cabezo family by taking advantage of the power of the Heart of Olga.

I can't take it anymore I read upto chapter 71. A d FINALLY what we wanted has come.
The next thing was quite easy. Baroness terran ( victoire's sister and Elisabeth's teacher) wrote the past of the leshchine and kabezo family as novel with very slightly changed names adding extra details ( victoire romance LOL- victoire repeatedly told them that he never cried for a girl like that but Elizabeth convinced that it's just for story to make more people read it.) to add more spiciness to the novel.
The novel's name is "the whereabouts of the letter". It's about the letter that was hidden with the duke along with conspiracy blackmails. The novel is huge success and literally everyone had read it. Everyone think that the novel is real and kabezo plotted towards the leshchine family. The novel was left with a open ending with only an hint about where the letter is. Everyone except a sequel with happy ending.
The novel portrays kabeijo ( kabezo as per novel) as a villain and everyone hates him and portrays the previous king as a person who couldn't do anything to opposes the duke kabeijo as he was weak in health and the current king as the Prince who wishes to correct the fault his father did. Even the king read the book.
Duke kabezo is furious to stop the rumours that's floating around cuz of the novel but he couldn't do it. So he guess to meet the emperor to stop such blasphemous book. But the emperor himself was holding one and asks the duke to join the meeting as daughtry is also king the meeting.
Duke kabezo is already suspicious of Elizabeth not coming to the mansion reasoning that she is sick, also the 50 days is over so he can't see her for second and now the book and letter.
In the meeting many nobles ask the emperor to stop the book and the emperor asks if anyone knows where the letter is. And the king says that he knows and takes a paper from between the pages of the book and shows it to everyone Duke kabezo fumes that it is not the real one. But the king says he had checked the authenticity and it's real. Duke says that that though it's real leshchine family members are all dead and it can't be revived. The king asks if he really didn't know.
Most people suspected that daughtry family is the dead leshchine family and the nobles and the king looks at towards victoire, Damon and Dylan present in the meeting. Duke kabezo looks towards them and is furious shocked and the victoire kneels before the king to apologise for not revealing sooner. Few nobles say that they impersonated other people. But it's invalid as they bought the count title. Duke is furious that there must have been a deal between the king and victoire considering how fast the king is acting and how they king is trying to put a check on him with another duke.
Marian says that the king cleared the leshchine's fault but didn't say anything about manipulation of the letter. Elisabeth says that the king wants kabezo to be silent and if this is revealed he will only make more moves.
Marian is tearful how Elisabeth knew about the revenge and sacrifice but still like them. Elisabeth says that relationships always starts with needs and the important thing is how it develops. And she can't hate Marian as she treated her as a mom. And they hug eachother. Elisabeth says that tomorrow dad is going to get what was his and today she wants to sleep with her mother. Marian smiles and says that Elisabeth is also like a daughter and hugs her and fall asleep.
Victoire comes Holding Elisabeth's hand and with Damon and Dylan behind. Victoire is reinstated as the duke. And Elisabeth becomes a princess.
