anyways, it's about mc, a real mermaid, that got his pearl (inside the stomach, makes mc able to use magic) taken out and left to die. the enemy then pretended to be mc (a real mermaid with the help of mc's stolen pearl) so that the fake one could marry the prince.

ok, i'm not gonna read the spoilers since i'm nearly at the end, but holy, i smell some triangle relationship between gods or smth.  
i like how the author made the enemy gradually more obsessed with the ML after each world, in the apocalypse world the enemy fell in love at first sight with ML and we get more insight how the enemy is kinda obsessed with MC dying a tragic ending.
so i am pretty sure that MC and ML had a loving relationship and the enemy (i'ma call him Love Rival, LR) is secretly in love with ML and wants to destroy their relationship. i think in the end he succeeded by killing (or nearly killing MC and making him go into coma or smth) MC, and ML got furious and made all this happen so MC can recover and LR can suffer.
...am i going in the right direction?

I understand what you mean, but I honestly couldn't help but pity him! He was so terrible and fake, and he did so many things, but he really loved his own mother, and idk, I guess he got what he deserved, but I just really pitied him. I just think it was the last line he said, about him wanting to be born into a 'normal family' that made me pity him so much.... Of course, that doesn't mean I don't dislike him, I do dislike him a lot for whatever he did to the MC and to the MC's mother, but I pity him at the same time. Maybe I just have bad taste

But you are right, lololol, they all could have lived a peaceful life without the drama! 

MTL is as confusing as regular MTL - in other words, it might not be that confusing for people who normally MTL, but it might be confusing for those who do not. And typos aren't too much of a big deal, it's still understandable.

I'll be giving summaries of the beginning and of two arcs for now. If anything's confusing, just ask questions; my summaries can be a somewhat jumbled and all...orz... And @azure_sea pls do correct me if I misunderstood some stuff ^^

Spoiler: BeginningMC is someone who always has to reincarnate in the underworld. The author doesn't mention who he really is, and the MC himself doesn't recall his own identity each time he reincarnates. All he knows is that once he reincarnates, he has to rest for a while in the underworld, then go back to reincarnating. The lord of the underworld (MTL said Hades) always greets him when he reincarnates, making the MC believe he was an powerful person or so, for having the lord of the underworld address him as "Your Excellency". At this point, the MC wanted to stop reincarnating b/c he was getting tired of it, he wasn't able to recall his memories, but each time he reincarnated he would only feel a sense of loss and 'tiredness'. Hades cannot accept that the MC doesn't want to reincarnate anymore, and the MC believes that Hades knows more than he is adding on. MC says he knows that there must be some reason that Hades keeps wanting him to reincarnate, even if he cannot retain his memories. MC speculates that his soul will disappear if he doesn't continue to reincarnate, Hades doesn't answer, so MC assumes it's true. Then Hades mentions that he was entrusted with the task of making the MC reincarnate, and 'someone' is waiting for him in 99 days (?). MC mentions that Hades always says that someone is waiting for him after 99 days after his reincarnation, and MC now is getting tired, he doesn't even remember the man who is waiting for him. Originally, he was curious, but after reincarnating several times, he is only getting tired and his feelings are dying down from seeing "more than just life's sorrows and happiness." He decided he wants to stop reincarnating, Hades finally came back to talk to him, MC thought he was trying to convince him to keep reincarnating, but instead Hades gave him a different solution. Hades mentioned that if MC doesn't reincarnate his soul won't disappear but it'll split off into pieces and each piece will go into another world, live a different life, and will continue to repeat until his soul in unable to be recovered. MC says he lies b/c he wants to scares him, but it isn't a lie. Then MC asks for the other option, which is basically giving him a jade pendant that acts as a 'system', and he'll be living the life of someone who had a miserable end in different worlds, and he'll have to fulfill their wishes. One he accumulates enough strength, he can return. Before he leaves, MC asks why the person doesn't just meet him, Hades replies, they can't, but they are always waiting for the MC and hope the MC will come earlier. MC is curious again, and he doesn't know if the one waiting for him are his parents, relatives, friends, or lover. Hades explains that the MC's final outcome in those worlds aren't controlled by anyone else but him. Then the first arc begins.
Spoiler: Arc 1Arc 1 is a cooking arc. MC wakes up as a 22 year old who is also the legitimate son of a family. His grandfather was a famous chef, but he died b/c MC's father killed him. The reason was b/c the MC's father wanted to marry MC's mother, and the mother loved the father. The grandfather disagreed, but eventually he decided to let his daughter have happiness, b/c they both continued to bow down asking for the grandfather's blessing. However, the MC's father actually didn't love the MC's mother, he just wanted her father's fame and all. MC's father actually already had a mistress and a son who was two years older than the MC. When the grandfather realized this, he was furious. MC's father was worried that he wouldn't get the grandfather's business and such if he told MC's mother, so the MC's father decided to kill him by switching his medicine. Grandfather died, MC's mother's was sad, and then the MC's father told her about his mistress and son, and she became depressed. Soon, MC's father brought home the illegitimate son (MC's older half-bro), MC's mother couldn't accept it, but b/c the boy was an innocent child she didn't do anything. She didn't harm him, but she also couldn't care for him, so she just ignored him. Eventually, she killed herself when the MC was 15 yo. The MC's father immediately brought home his mistress and married her. In the original lifetime, the original owner of the body was very miserable, he drank away his sorrows and pains, he was constantly being framed and schemed against by his half-bro and father, and he eventually died in a from a fight on the street (I might be mistaken tho, it could've been he died from something else...). The half-brother in the original lifetime was a famous, good-looking chef. He always pretended that he had a miserable childhood in his house, all because the mother and MC hated him because he was the illegitimate son. But in reality, the half-bro hated the fact that he was the illegitimate son, and he hated the MC and the MC's mother b/c he thought they ruined his family. He thought his family could have been perfect, and he could have been a legitimate son, but b/c of the mother and the MC, his 'perfect family' was ruined; his mother had to be a mistress and he had to become the illegitimate son, so he always schemed behind the MC's back for revenge. Original body of the MC also hated half-bro not only for being the illegitimate son, but b/c his mother died b/c of the mistress, the half-bro, and the father.

Back to the present, MC wakes up, and sees his friend (Chen Rui) telling him that they have to go to the auction. In the original lifetime, CR died protecting the original body in a car accident staged by the half-bro and half-bro's admirer. Last words CR said to him was something along the lines of "be happy and don't let the half-bro win". MC has a good impression of him. He decides to fulfill the original body's wish, which is basically avenging CR, getting revenge on half-bro and father, and taking back what was rightfully his. Anyways, MC and CR get up to go to the auction, but before they go, MC cooks food for the friend. The original body wasn't a good chef, but because the MC's in his body, his cooking skills are overly amazing. CR compliments how the MC's cooking skills are much better and how the MC even looks 'sparkly' even though he drank like crazy the night before. Finally, they leave for the auction. The auction is about buying a piece of land, and MC wants it to create a hotel/restaurant. MC gets the land, the father and half-bro start complaining to him and all, and the MC is just like, "Whatever, you guys will get what you deserve and I'll take back my property." Father and half-bro are anxious but they don't care, b/c they don't think MC can do anything. Father says to half-bro that the half-bro is his only son, not the MC. What they never knew was that before the MC's mother killed herself, she secretly recorded some dialogue between the mistress and the father, and when the hidden camera recorded her death, the half-bro as actually in the background watching everything, not planning to help or tell anyone, and pretending to be pitiful.

Continuing on, MC started up his hotel and all. He needed some help, so he asked for help from the grandfather's disciples. Ever since the father took over the grandfather's business, he completely got rid of the previous people. B/c the MC is the only grandson of the grandfather, the disciples decide to help him to repay their teacher's kindness. He needs some more help ofc, so he goes to some old man, (Zhang Lao, or Old man Zhang) who's a famous calligraphy master and who was also his grandfather's friend. The old man loved eating MC's grandfather's dishes and was surprised to see the MC. The MC wanted the old man to try some of his dishes. MC makes food, Zhang Lao tastes them and ends up saying that the dish (it was potato stew iirc) was the best he's ever tasted. MC then asks Zhang Lao to help him, MC just started his hotel and he's afraid that the people who do not like him will try to discredit him and such, so he asks Zhang Lao if he could come over and perhaps bring some friends to check it out and all. Zhang Lao accepts, but he says if they aren't satisfactory, he never wants to see the MC's face again and MC says okay. Before he leaves, Zhang Lao says he has to give him the potato stew to eat then he can leave.

Later, MC prepares some meals, then Zhang Lao comes earlier than expected. MC is surprised but he still invites him in, then he realizes that Zhang Lao also brought two others with him: they both look alike, but one of the is the uncle, and the other the nephew. The younger one (Zhao Bo Cheng (Not sure, but based on MTL)) is the heir of the Zhao group, he managed to rule the business in less than 30 years, and his influence is great: politics, entertainment, black circles, etc. Yes, ZBC is the ML. ZBC also has a cousin, QianXiang, who is the half-bro's admirer. It was b/c of QX that CR (MC's BFF) and the MC died.

Continuing on, MC's hotel opens up; many ppl are dissatisfied b/c they heard from the half-bro's self-pity speeches that MC is just a drinker who has no talent, which is why the father could only train the half-bro, who is a talented and hard-working in comparison. On the opening day, many people, from reporters to customers, came mainly to discredit and shame the MC's hotel/restaurant. MC personally came out to greet Zhang Lao and his company, and led them to a private room. Zhang Lao compliments MC. Then ML also comes with his friends. ML's friends start criticizing MC, asking how ML could come to a place like this. Did he not hear about the MC? They don't believe that the MC could create good dishes like the half-bro. ML just smiles and doesn't say a word. Finally, MC serves everyone. They thought the food MC served them was delicious and they couldn't believe it. Everyone wants more, the journalists couldn't help but eat and they forgot to take pictures b/c it was so delicious, ML's friends are asking for more, but MC tells CR to tell ML's friends that there isn't enough. Everyone starts complaining, then ML is like "Welp, guess there's no other choice but to come later again." The elderly people left satisfied, the reporters surrounded the older ones asking for their opinions, and all they could say was the dish was absolutely delicious. A lot of people start asking for membership to the hotel/restaurant so that way they can eat also, then MC explains some things about the membership. Reporters notice ML, and ask for his opinion, he accepts the interview an gives a very high rating. Practically all of the famous people, from young to old, complimented the place, saying that the food was delicious.

After the media spread the news, the netizens were confused b/c it was different from what they expected. They start wondering whether MC paid the older and respected elites and the ML of the Zhao Group to say good things about him, but then, where would he get the money to bribe them? People start talking, some are still speculating, others are saying that those who have yet to try the food shouldn't say anything, they have to taste it to see if it's really delicious. The MC's father didn't know the MC could cook, b/c he never taught him, and he never thought that famous elites would stick up for the MC. He believes the MC bribed them, but he just didn't know how. On the other hand, the half-bro could not believe what was going on. B/c of QX (ML's cousin), the half-bro was able to cook for ML a couple of times, but the ML never gave an evaluation. He was always cold and expressionless. Yet, he, who grew up talented in cooking, couldn't even compare to the MC who only knew how to drink. Half-bro finally considers the possibility of  the dishes not being the MC's own creation, he thinks that the grandfather's previous disciples are the ones who created the dishes. Father and the half-bro start slandering the MC.

MC then goes to some previous, disabled disciples who trained under the grandfather. He asks them whether they'd be willing to work with him, and they said if he plans on getting back the business and reviving it to how it was when his grandfather was alive, they'd be willing to help any way they can. MC goes back home, and CR shows him some news on the laptop. The news was pretty much stating that the MC was shameless. He didn't cook the dishes himself, and he just pretended that he did, when it was actually the disciples who cooked them. People start believing that the good food that was cooked couldn't possibly be made by the MC, the friend is worried, MC doesn't care about what other people think. While he and the friend were talking, the ML comes over. MC invites him in, asking if he's dissatisfied with anything. ML replies with a smile that he is dissatisfied, after all, the MC ended up feeding him something made by other people. MC personally cooks food for him again and ML eats together with him. The ML then gives MC an invitation to a cooking competition, and the ML is actually one of the judges there. He says that he's willing to give him good results. MC asks shouldn't the competition be fair, and the ML replies that it is fair, but he (ML) just isn't. He's fine only doing stuff for the MC and favoring the MC. MC then starts thinking about how everyone said the ML was cold and expressionless, but every time the he talks to him, the ML always has a smile on his face. The MC doesn't know what this feeling is, but seeing the ML gives him a sense of familiarity, as if he's known him in the past. As they eat, ML sneaks glances at the MC, ML gets this feeling that he always wants to see the MC, and this feeling gets more intense as the days pass.

Afterwards, MC goes to the cooking competition. Everyone sees MC's stunning appearance, he looks nothing like how a drunkard should look. MC begins cooking and his opponent is the half-bro. Compared to the half-bro, MC looks handsomer, and his actions are even more elegant. QX originally came to watch the half-bro beat the MC, but even he can't help but admit that the half-bro's techniques aren't as good as the MC's. The audience starts talking about how stunning and amazing the MC is, he is nothing like the rumors. They should start taking pictures but make sure they don't take any of the half-bro otherwise it will ruin the MC's charm, they already switched teams and are now cheering on for the MC. They start thinking about the rumors on the internet. Although they also thought MC couldn't cook, it obviously isn't true now that they're looking at him. MC creates a realistic dragon and phoenix for his dishes, and everyone is in awe by how majestic his dish looks. In the end, the MC gets full marks on all the dish he's served, something that has never happened before. Even the half-bro's never gotten full marks before. No one said anything, those who complained about the MC being a terrible cook didn't say a word. He goes on to the next rounds, and each time, MC got full marks. The half-bro lost to the MC in the end. He couldn't believe it that he lost to the MC. He calmed himself down, believing that his net score would be higher, he didn't have to worry about the scores the judges gave. But the MC won completely, and he took first place.

The father who was watching the show couldn't believe that his precious son, whom he carefully taught all these years, could lose against the MC, the son he didn't care about. From this competition, MC gained a reputation, and his business became even more famous. The MC didn't just want to snatch back the half-bro's/father's business which was originally supposed to be his. Rather, he wanted to crush it and that family with his own power. The reporters start surrounding the MC asking for interviews, MC gladly accepts. They start asking questions about his drinking habits and when he started to cook. MC admits that he drank because that was the only way to relieve him of his pain from his miserable childhood, and he didn't want to cook, because he thought he would shame his grandfather, but then he gave it a shot. They ask what made him so depressed that he had to drink it away, and he replied that he witnessed his mother killing herself. The reporters were silent, then one questioned whether his mother killed herself because she didn't want to divorce the father. The story that the father spread was that he wanted a divorce from the MC's mother, but she didn't want to and decided to kill herself. The father always said that if he had known she would kill herself, he wouldn't have asked for a divorce. The father would always burst into tears when he told the story of the grandfather forcing him to marry the mother, and the mother killing herself once she didn't want a divorce. Of course, the truth was he just wanted the grandfather's/mother's property, so he was the one to beg the grandfather, not to mention, he never even asked the mother for a divorce in the first place.

MC replies to the questions, saying he's always hid the truth, and he can't help but question if the father wanted the property of the grandfather/mother. After all, why would the grandfather force the father, who was poor and worthless, to marry the mother, who was outstanding and had everything? MC questioned if the father really wanted to leave the mother, why didn't he leave the entire property behind as well? The reporters start thinking about that, and they put clues together. MC continues saying his mother had depression, she would always look at the father and the child that wasn't hers with a depressed heart. The press conference ended with the MC saying he wants his father to admit all of his misdeeds and admit the truth about what happened. MC's father is cursing while watching the television, the half-bro is getting anxious. Reporters come to their house to ask about what the father thinks, the father sighs and acts as if the MC wronged him. He originally didn't want to say anything, but b/c of the MC, now he has to spill all of the mother's and grandfather's terrible personality. He says that the mother wanted to marry him, but he didn't like her. The grandfather was dying and he basically gave the father no choice but to marry the mother or else the father would have no place to live. B/c he was powerless, he had to agree, but the entire time, his heart was with his current wife (the mistress). The reporters say if he ever loved the mother, and his reply was "Never."

The disciples of the grandfather are watching the media, and they start cursing about how the father is slandering the grandfather. MC tries calming them down, and says that the father can say whatever he wants, he'll soon regret it anyways. MC enters the lounge, and an employee gifts him flowers sent by ML. In the past, MC was disgusted by anyone who pursued him, but the upfront way the ML pursued him didn't annoy him, so he accepted it. Being alone for years, he also wanted to experience love. The media continues asking reporting and everyone is wondering what the truth is, they start thinking and such. While the netizens are going back and forth online, MC decides to post a video of the father kneeling down and looking at the mother happily and the mother crying tears of joy, then father kisses the mother affectionately. The MC then posts a message saying that the father is still talking trash about his mother and grandfather, and if he continues to lie, MC will reveal everything. People start getting mad, they want to know what the actual truth is. But MC stops talking so they could only continue to pester.

MC is resting in the lounge, ML comes in and starts groping him, MC opens his eyes and asks what the ML is doing. ML replies he's been chasing for so long but MC never responded so he'll have to use force. ML says that if MC doesn't like it, tell him. Then he kisses the MC, MC is starting to get excited from the deep kiss. The friend interrupts by knocking on the door, he tells the MC that QX is here to bother the business. ML says he can help make his cousin stop bothering MC, as long as the MC repays him back with his body. MC pushes ML away, and goes off the find QX. QX is just about to cause trouble, until he sees the ML. Then he became scared. ML asks him what he's doing here, and QX replies he's just here to eat. ML kicks the cousin and he falls to the ground; the cousin cries and says he was really just there to eat and not for anything else. ML kicks the cousins several more times and the cousin screams and can't get back up. QX friends who also came with him leave the place in fear. MC looks at ML, stuffs a rag into QX mouth, then he starts beating him like hell to avenge the prev body and CR who died in the original timeline. ML watches on in amusement, thinking that the MC is really ruthless.

Scene skips, and the MC and ML are having sex. (For those who want the details it literally starts on Chapter 12, but it's not that long). After they're done MC is weak and starts thinking. ML asks him what he's thinking about, and MC just wonders how they developed a relationship and how long the relationship can last. ML replies that he's happy. MC replies he's never been in love, and the ML is happy that he can be the first person MC fell in love with. ML then says that verbal promises aren't much, and only time will prove how much he loves MC. Then they make out again. The next afternoon, MC wakes up with a sore waist. The ML and MC talk about how to deal with the father and the business. MC calls some lawyers and tells the father to move out of the property. The father yells at MC, asking him how he could do this to them. He says that in the end he's his father, so the MC shouldn't be doing stuff like this; he asks the MC is he's not afraid of receiving retribution, and MC scoffs at that. They argue back and forth, the mistress and half-bro are taken out of the house by the bodyguards. Reporters are covering the scene, the three people pretend to be pitiful and MC doesn't care about how he looks in front of the camera. But the reporters don't bother judging the scene, as they don't know the full story; it's better for the audience to judge for themselves. Surprisingly, it wasn't that big of a deal; some people agreed with MC others didn't like what the MC did and agreed with the other three.

The father continued talking about how terrible the MC is, and the half-brother decided to look for QX since QX hasn't met him since they were kicked out. QX was in the hospital b/c of his injuries. Half-bro sees QX and asks whats wrong, QX replies that it's fine. Then half-bro mentions how he and his family were driven out their home, and starts acting pitiful. QX decided he'd get revenge on MC. Half-bro still pretends saying that the MC is just poor, even though the half-bro really doesn't like the way MC acts, he feels bad for him. He 'sympathizes' with the MC. He'll be willing to take any hits from the MC if it makes the MC feel better, after all, he is just an illegitimate son. The MC's mother and MC should be hating him and cursing at him. QX comforts the half-bro and asks how he could be so kind. QX decides he'll be the one to protect the half-bro and make the MC disappear.

This is when the car accident occurs. MC was luckily able to avoid it, and he calls the ML saying he's been in a car accident. ML takes him to the hospital to check if the MC's okay. Then he gives the MC some bodyguards and finds out who tried killing the MC. The next day, the ML comes to him, and the MC realizes that the ML knows who tried to kill him. MC says it can only be the father or the half-bro. And if it's the half-bro, he'd go to QX to make MC disappear, meaning that QX is the one who wanted his life. ML says it is QX. MC starts telling the ML that he was lucky this time, but maybe not so much next time. ML says he'll handle everything. The next few days, ML is gone, and when he returns the MC hears news that QX's legs were wrecked in a car accident and QX had to go overseas for treatment. MC and ML make out again, then when they finish, they talk about how QX won't ever bother MC again. MC believes that the punishment QX got was one he deserved, since QX is someone who can't accept his disabilities. MC's satisfied that QX will have to suffer like this.

Half-bro is shocked by QX's news. Now that QX is gone, he doesn't have a thigh to hug. Zhang Lao is preparing a birthday party, and many people come to celebrate. Half-bro and the father also come to celebrate Zhang Lao's birthday, but Zhang Lao's smile disappears when he sees them. Although he cannot kick them out b/c journalists are there, he won't be overly nice to them. Stuff happen, the father slanders MC, MC looks at the father like he's an idiot and replies back to him saying that the father has no qualifications to slander him or anyone else. Guests whisper, the two keep arguing, and finally, in front of everyone, MC plays the video the mother recorded before her death. A man and woman's dialogues were heard from the screen, the words were very clear. The man was saying how he cannot divorce MC's mother just yet, b/c he didn't get all of the property, but once he does, he'll divorce MC's mother, marry her (the mistress), and let her become the lady of the house. The conversation continues, the grandfather's death was also revealed to be the father's doing. They start talking about how MC's mother is weak and she won't do anything, and the property will then be handed over to the half-brother. The father did love the MC's mother before, which is why he bowed down to the grandfather to marry her, but he's long been tired of her and he only loves the mistress now.

The video moves to to the mirror and it hows the reflection of the mother. MC stops the vid then looks at the father. The father says it's all lies, and the MC says he'll even give it to the police to investigate the video. They'll prove whether the vid is a fake. The police take the father and the vid. The birthday party ends, and the MC apologized to Zhang Lao. More stuff happen, the police finally come back and announce the video is real. MC held another press conference saying he felt guilty to his mother and grandfather because he was too much of a coward, but now, the truth has been revealed. MC announces one more detail, and this is a still image of the video. Although it isn't too clear, the clothes are noticeable and the only person who wore clothes like these were the half-bro. The half-bro watched on as the mother killed herself, he didn't even bother stopping her. He grew up all these years in the household, but not once did he feel grateful, he only felt resentful, he hated the MC and the MC's mother. After that, no one supported the father or the half-bro.

The father was sentenced to death (?), the half-bro and mistress were always trying to avoid the public eye but everyone recognized them, so they moved to some remote place. Mistress had a disease, and the half-bro sent her to the city for treatment. The half-bro visited the father in jail after three years; half-bro briefed the father on everything. The father starts crying and says he's doing just as bad, the prison is terrible, and he needs money if he wants to live peacefully. Half-bro says he has money but the mother is ill so he needs more to save her. Father says just let her die and let him live comfortably for a few days. Half-bro is shocked and starts saying that it's his mother he's talking about. Father replies that he's his father also, and the half-bro can't possibly bear to see the father suffer. Half-bro explains how difficult life is for him especially since no one wants to hire someone like him. Finally, half-bro just leaves the prison, disappointed in his father. He goes back to his mother and explains the father is doing fine, he doesn't tell her the details. He watches the TV and sees the MC. Half-bro wonders why he couldn't have been born into a normal family, he never asked to be an illegitimate son, but why was fate so unfair?

MC on the other hand opened up many branches, he became famous and beside him was the ML. MC managed his company and lived his life with ML. B/c MC was busy, he wasn't always able to meet ML all the time, but when he did they had their moments. They would eat together, sleep together, etc. One night, the ML asked the MC if he wanted to come back with him for the ML's grandfather's birthday. MC wondered if they old man would even accept him since he probably wants great-grandchildren, but ML said the grandfather already did. MC wonders how, ML replies he has his ways. Once again, they make out. MC says that if the ML wants to have a wife and children but still wants to chase him, the MC will forever run away from him, even when he dies. ML only replies, he will never even give the MC the chance to run away. One day, MC ends up seeing half-bro eating on the street. The two just stare at each other for a while. A limousine pulls up and the ML steps out. The ML and MC go back home together, half-bro is sad that the MC has everything and he wonders why he (half-bro) was born into the world in the first place. MC and ML grew old together. ML never actually promised anything in words, but he only used his actions and his life to show his promises to the MC. MC knew he was dying, he told the ML that he'll be leaving. He finally fell in love, and he didn't want to let go of this feeling. ML says not to worry as he kisses his eyelids, then he says that nothing will be able to separate the two of them. In the next life, the ML will return to find the MC. MC says that the ML has to remember his words, and he cannot lie. And the ML replies he will never lie to him. The system pulls MC from his body, he fulfilled the body's wishes. Each time he successfully completes the wishes, he will be able to upgrade into "god" but the power he gained won't go to him. He doesn't know what it means but the only thing he can do is go into the next world.
Spoiler: Arc 2Arc 2 is set in the feudal period if I'm not mistaken. There are opera singers/actors and officers/generals/soldiers. MC in this life is also a legitimate son who, of course, died tragically. The main antagonists are the brother (Cheng Jiaming) and some general/warlord (Wei Tianxiong). The original body was the son of the main wife. The wife was the daughter of a general who died (?), and the father married her. However, one day, he went to see an opera/play (?) and fell in love with the female lead singer/actress (named Aunt Xu iirc). He brought her home, thinking that the MC's mother would be able to accept it. Aunt Xu kept scheming and all, trying to sow discord. Later on, the father started doting on Aunt Xu and her son (CJM) more. Aunt Xu believed that she would end up taking the position of the main wife, but some things happened. The father, singer, and the brother went on a trip, yet when they came back the father fell ill. Eventually he died, Aunt Xu didn't get the main wife position, she and her son ended up being kicked out of the house by the old lady of the household, never to be able to step foot in the house again. Aunt Xu ended up roaming on the streets and such, she left her 6 or 7 yo son behind for reasons. She only left him a note saying that he has the blood of the Cheng family (MC's family) and that the business should have been his. So b/c of the letter, the entire time, CJM only thought about how he wanted to get revenge, destroy the MC, and take 'back' the house that was 'rightfully' his, and that was his only reason for living. Eventually, war came about, presidents changed, etc. etc. time passed, etc. and CJM  became a famous singer/celebrity, he created his own business, and he met the warlord WTX. He decided to use WTX to scheme against the original body in order to reclaim back the Cheng home.

Because of the chaos in the world, there were many warlord, generals, etc. The Cheng family had to close down several of their shops, and years later, the original body's mother died. The original was not good with handling business affairs after his mother died, but because of the change in president the world was getting better and such. Unlike the greedy brother who wanted to ruin the original body, the original body was quite content with what he had. Although he didn't properly manage the business and household properly, and he wasn't making as much money as he could have, he was still fine that way. However, CJM and WTX schemed against the original body. WTX threatened the original body to start selling tobacco and to open a smokehouse (is that what they call it?), even though the original body didn't want to. Originally, WTX who introduced the original body to the stuff didn't think anything was wrong with this kind of business, he only knew that it made money, and since it was pretty new, the harmful effects weren't noticed immediately. Later, the original body started getting addicted to smoking, and the dangers of smoking were showing up.

In the end, the president's nephew (Yang Shaoxuai (?)) came into the town to correct the city. WTX was shot down by him, and then YSX forbid smoking in the area. All the smokehouses were destroyed, and the city implemented a rehabilitation plan for those smokers. Unfortunately, the original body did not undergo rehabilitation; the original body who was addicted went insane, broke into other people's homes, etc. When the original body was living on the streets, CJM (brother) came up to him and told him everything, he said that he wanted revenge and he plans on taking over the Cheng household now. The original body was confused and devastated, he didn't know what he had to do with any of CJM's problems. CJM being driven out the house, joining and opera troupe, and all other things had nothing to do with him. The last thought the original body had before he died was that he hated CJM, WTX, his own incompetence, and he wanted revenge.

The MC appeared in the body of the original a while after WTX threatened the original to create smokehouses. Although the MC pities CJM he still thinks that the original body shouldn't have to pay for stuff he never did. MC decides he'll fulfill the original body's wish. He first checks what happened to Aunt Xu (CJM's mother), and he realizes that she was killed by the wife of a businessman she met. MC decides to leave her ending be, because she got what she deserved. MC then goes on the tell a loyal butler that the smokehouses should temporarily be closed(?) and that they should make sure the WTX never find out yet. Two of MCs people came to meet the MC. Originally, MC had many shops and businesses, but many of them went to WTX, but both WTX and CJM weren't satisfied and wanted more. The restaurant business is in dire straits b/c of WTX. THe people can barely make money and hold up the shop. MC doesn't know if he should wait for YSX to solve the matter regarding WTX (that is, kill WTX), but he knows it's going to take years until that happens. MC decides to take matters into his own hands, and thinks that killing WTX is really the best solution, but he doesn't know when he can get an opportunity b/c his guards never leave his side, and in his room he's always being 'pleasured'. Getting close to him and killing him would be difficult, but MC remembers that WTX is a theater fan, he's loves plays, and he also likes males, otherwise a greedy person like him would never give CJM Cheng's properties. It's only b/c CJM fits his requirements that WTX dotes on him.

MC decides the best way is to get close to WTX and kill him is with drugs. After planning, MC's steward helps him invite an old, not-so-famous-anymore celebrity/actor (I'll just use Wu Bao) who is still seeking a good apprentice. Ever since CJM came to the city, WB was barely able to support himself, as he started getting less popular. In the past, when he saw the original body on the streets he would always bring him food and such. Now that the MC is in the original body, MC wanted to use WB and also pay him for when he helped the original. WB was very happy to be invited by the Cheng family's young master. Immediately after he sat down, the MC pulled out a box of 200 silver dollars. WB initially refused b/c he said the theater doesn't need require this much money, he said he's fine with half the amount if the MC wanted the theater to perform. MC clears up the misunderstanding, saying that he doesn't want WB's theater to perform for him, rather, he wants to sing with them.

WB is confused. MC says that he'll pay 200 silver in advance, and that WB can also keep the additional money coming in from his singing. WB became silent, he really needed money, but at the same time, he doesn't know whether the MC could actually sing. Even though he is paying upfront, if the MC cannot sing, then no one else would start coming and WB's theater will be forever ruined. MC interrupts his thoughts and states that he will be willing to provide funds every month if WB lacks money, until his theater becomes famous again. WB is tempted and he asks whether the MC wants to sing for fun a bit. MC replies he's not too sure, but he can assure WB that if he sings and the audience's response isn't good, he'll quit, but he still promised to fund WB. WB accepts the deal, then the MC says he has only one condition: he doesn't want his identity to be exposed (that is, he doesn't want anyone to know that the young master of the Cheng family is singing). No matter what, WB mustn't tell anyone who he is. WB doesn't hesitate to agree and he thanks the MC. He tells the MC that if the theater can be revived again, he'll pay the MC back everything. MC has a favourable impression of WB, it's no wonder that WB first declined the offer, but it's too bad the good people always tend to have miserable ends. He definitely has to make sure WB lives happily.

On the other side, CJM is counting his money and the estate deeds for the Cheng property. He believes that the price he paid, having 'special dealings' with WTX, was worth it. Although he was disgusted whenever WTX touched him, he believed that as long as he can achieve his goals, anything is worth it. With his relationship with WTX no one dared to offend him. He smiles thinking about how the Cheng property will soon be his. CJM's manager then comes in to ask whether CJM will perform, CJM declines b/c he's not in the mood. He played with WTX too much the night before. The news was released the CJM will not perform, and though the people who paid were getting frustrated, no one argued back b/c of CJM and WTX's relationship.

Yet in another area, new was released saying that later there will be a free performance and free food for the first 60 people who arrive. B/c not many people could afford to pay, when they heard this chance, they are sure to arrive. MC said he'll handle all expenses. WB was still worried bc his troupe cannot compare to CJM's, and what if the MC sang horribly? Then the MC assures WB that if his singing is terrible this time, then he won't sing a second time, and WB hesitantly agrees. B/c MC didn't want ppl to know it was him, WB arranged him a special dressing room, and he personally did his makeup. Finally the audience seats were packed, MC was planning on singing/acting out one of WTX favourite plays, Drunken Beauty (?). When WB came back to inform the MC that his turn was up, he was stunned on the spot, even though he was in theater for many years, he couldn't believe that someone could have such an outstanding appearance. It took a while for WB to recover, he reminded MC his turn was up, the other members looked at MC and was wondering who he was. WB just said that they shouldn't ask about his identity.

When MC started performing, the audience became mesmerized. Even WB and his apprentices could not help but watch from behind the curtain. The play ended, and MC went backstage, but the audience was still in a trance. WB went over to the MC and started asking many questions like who the MC's teacher was. MC just replies it's not important and that WB just has to focus on not revealing his identity and such. Then WB asks if the MC will sing again the next day, MC replies no, but he'll sing again a few days later. After this play, everyone started talking about it. There was not one person who said the play was bad, and that the person who performed the play was the best one they've ever seen. People asked who the celebrity was but nobody knew. Finally, it spread around the town, people were curious, some wanted to listen again, but unexpectedly, the theater did not open. Everyone was restless, some starting thinking it was only lies. Everyone is curious about what's going on with the play and they want to also listen, and this was what the MC wanted.

MC's butler tries to persuade MC saying that if anyone finds out he's singing then the Cheng family reputation might go down. MC doesn't care and the butler is wondering why. MC just replies he'll know later. WB starts getting anxious, many people are demanding stuff from him about the singers identity about when they'll be another play, etc. When the night came, MC enters the theater and meets WB. WB is glad that he came and says he got the message that MC will sing again and he can't imagine how happy he is. MC looks at WB and says he understands what WB was going through but WB has to make preparations, b/c he might not continue to sing. After all, singing isn't the MC's hobby nor is it the original body's. He is just singing to help him reach his revenge. WB says he knows all that, and it doesn't matter to him. He'll eventually be able to revive the theater even if he has less funds, MC smiles and says that the way WB thinks is very good.

MC performs again, everyone is awe-struck. Someone tosses a silver at the stage and soon everyone tosses money to the stage. When MC finishes the first part, everyone cheers. One man realises he did not bring enough money, so he turns to his companion next to him and asks whether he had something to throw. The companion said he doesn't have anything more, and they both sigh thinking that they should've brought more if they knew the MC was going to perform. They question who the performer is and they decide that they'll meet him afterwards. MC suddenly feels someone watching him, he looks to the top floor and sees a familiar pair of eyes, they felt similar to ZBC's eyes (ML in the previous world). He calms himself down, and when he looked back at the seat, the person wasn't there, but MC is sure it wasn't an illusion. After finishing, MC walks back to the dressing room, and thinks to himself. Only ZBC is the one who is able to make him feel like that, could he have also joined this world like him? ZBC did promise to the MC before he died, that his soul would always find him, so could he really have followed him? He initially didn't think much of the promise, b/c ZBC is nothing like the MC, but the man's eyes were too similar.

Thinking of the possibility, MC became excited. WB comes inside the room and he brought with him a tray. He hands it to the MC saying that all of the money is his. He cannot accept how much the MC has done for him. MC, who just realized he can meet his lover again, is feeling happy and he tells WB that he should keep it, WB cannot accept, MC insists and WB accepts and says that MC shouldn't pay later. After the performance, no one could forget MC, although people inquired, WB did not say anything. The news about WB's theater having an amazing performer spread to CJM, but he didn't believe it, so he sent his people to find out the person, but they came back with nothing, b/c no one knew anything and WB didn't say anything.

Several days later, news spreads saying the MC will be performing again. This time WTX and CJM decide to watch. WTX and CJM talk to each other about the MC's performance, wondering how good he could really be, and at the same time WTX starts groping CJM. He stops once the performance beings. The two people were shocked, and CJM started having a bad feeling in his heart. As time passed, WTX became more and more obsessed with the MC, MC felt disgusted b/c he could feel the guy leering at him. Once MC finished,  WTX stepped up and said that he wanted to meet the boss, WB tells him the WTX already left, but even so, WTX did not want to give up. During that time, the MC leaves quickly and when he turns the corner, he hits someone. His hat falls off, the other person picks it up for him, and when he reaches to grab it he looks at the man. The man looks familiar to the MC, they both stare deeply at each other's eyes. Then MC focuses again, and he withdraws. Once he's away, he uses his system to check up on the identity the man--it was YSX. Although YSX came to the area, MCdidn't need to change his plan, but even if the MC wanted to, it was too late. YSX arrival just made things easier for the MC, but the MC will still continue with his plan to kill WTX.

Scene skips to when te MC is hidden among the crowd. A person informs WTX that the president's nephew, YSX, is coming to meet him. WTX is terrified of YSX, but he still greets him and all. YSX mentions that his uncle made him come over to work together with the city's boss, and that WTX may be able to teach him. WTX is confused and axious, he believed that YSX should currently be at war with another, but he's here all of a sudden. MC meets eyes with YSX, and he feels that same shock he felt before at the theater. He wonders if YSX could be his lover, he looks at YSX again, but there's not feeling. he doesn't understand what's going on. [insert parts about WTX thinking to himself]

Then, MC goes back home, the steward is freaking out b/c WTX came and asked about the tobacco shop. They wanted money, and the MC just replies to give them money, the money will eventually come back. MC then says to leave him alone, he has to rethink his plan. originally, his identity was supposed to be exposed, WTX will then pursue him and not bother him about the tobacco shop, then MC could poison WTX. But YSX appearance was not within his expectations. Now he only wants to focus on whether YSX is his lover. Later, WTX and YSX have dinner together, and WTX decides to let CJM perform a show. Everyone at the place couldn't help but notice YSX. Even CJM couldn't help but fantasize about YSX. He directs his emotions for YSX into his performance, and once it is finished everyone applauds. Passing by, the MC asks WB if he also wanted to perform the same play that CJM performed. WB is hesitant but MC convinces him.

They perform together, CJM ridicules WB and MC for trying to copy the same play, WTX seems interested, and YSX finds that something more is going on. They finish the play and everyone praises them,they were better than CJM. WTX is satisfied and says he wishes to see the MC true appearance. WB looks to MC, MC puts his head lower to avoid everyone's view. Finally WTX says the MC has to step forward. WTX has never seen MC before even when he threatened him, he never went up personally. CJM didn't recognize it was the MC at first, but then when he did, he started to yell his name, asking how he could possibly perform. WTX is confused, then he realizes it's Cheng family's young master. WTX asks whether MC is truly the performer, MC says he is. CJM states that it must be a lie, b/c MC can't possibly compare to CJM who worked hard. WTX gets angry and he tells WB to tell him the truth. He already decided to keep MC, but if the performer is another person, he didn't mind having them both.

Moving on, MC performs again, proving that he is the performer. CJM gets jealous. WTX asks MC why he hid his talent, and MC replies it was just for fun, and he didn't want ppl to know it was him, but since the chief (WTX) wanted to see him...WTX starts suggesting things to the MC, YSX suddenly interrupts them saying that he'll take the MC home. It's difficult to choose whether he should kill WTX first or just walk with YSX to find if he's his lover. He decides to go with YSX, on the way to the house, MC asks YSx if he ever heard of ZBC, and YSX quickly replies he doesn't know. MC asks for him to think carefully, but YSX still doesn't know,and MC is disheartened. YSX sees the MC's disappointment then asks if ZBC is someone important, MC replies that he was someone extremely important.

The news spread out that MC was the performer, everyone feels that MC is deeply hidden, but no one seemed to ridicule him, b/c he sung better than most professionals. Everyone agrees that compared to MC, CJM is far worse. CJM is extremely jealous and furious. Everyone is saying that MC is better than him, even CJM can notice that WTX was captivated with a first glance, even though that never happened with him. It took CJM years of struggling to get where he was at, but the MC just decided to perform once, and now he has it all, both the fame and the Cheng property that were originally his. Worrying, CJM immediately went to WTX and deliberately stuck close to him, saying that WTX promised him the Cheng property. WTX replied that he's busy now that YSX came to the city, but his thoughts were only full of the MC; he just couldn't bother with CJM.

MC is drinking in his home b/c he has no other way to vent his frustrations. At that moment, YSX come into his house. He asks the MC why the MC thought he knew ZBC, and MC replies it's because they are similar. YSX and MC continue to drink, YSX thinks that the moment he laid eyes on the MC at the theater, he always wanted to see his true face. One he did see it, he could never forget it. Finally, YSX breaks the silence, he is about to leave, and the MC stands to escort him to the door. B/c MC's drunk, he nearly falls, YSX catches him. They stare at each other for a while, finally, YSX says that the MC's eyes look nice. Then he continues and says to stop performing and not to get close to WTX; whatever MC wants, YSX can help him get. MC asks if he knows what he wants, YSX replies something from WTX, but no matter what, don't go to him or else...but the MC falls asleep before he could finish.

MC wakes up and remembers the conversation with YSX. He finds it a bit funny b/c YSX doesn't even know what MC wants. WTX decides to meet with MC, MC is ready to invite him and kill him with poison. They go into the kitchen and eat together, MC finally states that WTX doesn't truly want to just eat. WTX smiles, hands him a box that were all the deeds to the house that WTX gave to CJM.WTX starts getting closer and suggesting more things to MC, MC doesn't fight back but also suggest things himself. He offers WTX a cup of wine to kill him. Just before WTX drinks, gunshots fire, and YSX breaks into the house. YSX says that a thief broke into his house and stole important documents, WTX is pissed and doesn't believe that excuse. YSX says he won't start with WTX, but he says he'll be searching everyone. MC is watching everything in amusement, but then YSX points at the MC and tells MC to come. MC is shocked, then YSX starts searching every part of his body, he searches under his shirt, inside his pants, etc. then he 'finds' the 'stolen' document on MC and takes him in for questioning.

MC is taken for questioning, he doesn't know why YSX seems mad. MC grabs the paper, and looks at it only to find it blank. He gets angry and starts yelling at YSX; YSX just looks at him silently. Finally, the MC asks what YSX wanted bc he still had something important to do. YSS whether the important thing was to seduce WTX. He was going to tell him the truth, but he thought he wasn't that familiar with YSX so he just replies, "What does it have to do with you?" YSX gets angry, he drives all the way back to his own house. YSX pulled MC and dragged him into the room, MC couldn't fight back b/c YSX was too strong. He tries using martial arts, YSX blocks him and is surprised he knows martial arts. MC and YSX continue to argue, MC wants to leave YSX won't let him. Finally, MC can't handle it and says something about how YSX can't control him, and YSX gets extremely pissed and challenges him back, saying he can control him or so.  

He rips off MC's shirt, tears his underwear, moves his hand downwards and stroked him. MC is panicking, he doesn't want to be in a relationship unless it's with one person-his lover. MC's pants were halfway down, he doesn't move b/c YSX still has him in his hands. MC tries explaining everything to YSX, trying to make him clam down, but YSX moves his hand, then he kisses the MC. MC finally recognizes that YSX is his lover, and accepts his advances. They didn't stop their rough sex for the entire night (if you want to know more about their rough sex, it's on Chapter 26, towards the end, but it's honestly not that much). When he woke up, MC asked whether YSX wanted him to die in bed, YSX replied, better in his bed than in WTX's. MC explains everything to YSX about how he wanted to kill WTX, and YSX replies that he'll handle everything. ML hopes the MC can always stay by his side and he kisses his eyelids. MC doesn't hesitate.

YSX and WTX had a cold war. It wasn't going anywhere, so after one of MC's performances, he didn't immediately get off the stage, but instead denounced the warlords like WTX in a long speech. The crowd completely cheered and agreed with MC. YSX took down WTX, stating that the public denounced him. WTX couldn't escape, YSX captured him, published all of his misdeeds, shot/executed(?) WTX and his men, then gave the people's land back to them. In addition, another person also went to jail for attempting to assassinate the MC. YSX personally locked CJM up for a lifetime. He was half-beaten to death, and he soon turned insane. He constantly sang believing he was a sought-out celebrity, and even after he sang until his voice broke, he continued singing.

People started celebrating for the death of WTX, YSX put a ban on tobacco and smoking. All of MC's previous shops have been reopened. MC decided to leave with YSX and follow to where he went, the butler cried before sending his well wishes. ML looks to MC asking if he's reluctant, MC replies only slightly. ML says that once he retires from the army, he will live with MC, and MC replies good, while leaning on his shoulder. The MC and ML travelled to many places. When they were old, MC realized he was happy and all his (and the original body's) wishes were fulfilled. The returned back to their home city, where they first met and where they plan to die. Before MC gets pulled away by the system he asks whether the ML will come to him in his next life. Ml holds onto him and states that no matter where the MC is, he will always find him. MC laughs and recalls that the ML has kept all of his promises, in the last life and in this one. Now his heart completely believes in the ML. He realised as time passed, he fell deeper and deeper for the ML. MC leaves his body. Before, he thought the idea of the system was terrible, but now that he met the ML, he thinks it's fine. But he's worried about whether he'll still be able to meet his lover after fully reincarnating. If not, he decides he can only go to Hades and ask him to allow him to continue reincarnating.
This is such a long summary...this isn't even a summary anymore...more like a book...I might as well have just translated it lolol...

Edit: I just can't... My original post had so many grammar mistakes and I feel so embarrassed... I edited the errors I noticed (doesn't really change the story tho). Please just ignore other errors I didn't correct T-T. Anyways, Arc 2 summary is up now. I'll post the other arcs another time... 

Can any one do summary spoilers of the arcs. 

it's like this: there are characters that sound the same, but are written differently/has different strokes. so on a computer, you only type the "sound" (the pronounciation) and then appears a bar right under the place you typed your "sound" and it gives you characters to choose that have the same sound. because of smart-recognition (like auto-correct), you sometimes don't have to even choose, it will automatically choose for you if you ignore the choose option.
example:
子 = zi (=son/child)
字 = zi (chinese character)
自 = zi (self)
as you can see, all 3 characters are typed as "zi", so when you type fast and don't check, sometimes auto-filling/auto-correct will just choose a character that you use the most. it's especially painful when you type names
