ok, so fair WARNING to you guys, i found some inconsistencies between the two websites that i linked. on danmeila, i don't know why, but during the first arc the name of the restaurant always had a different name and some people's names got changed or added some characters that shouldn't be there. since i know that many people use mtl and not read it raw like i do, they might get veeeery confused and frustrated. i did, too, until i just ignored some names. interestingly enough, these strange changes weren't there at the beginning, but right in the middle of the story... (maybe coding problem??) also, the MC's name is different on these two websites: on danmeila it's "ZD" (yeah, don't know why it's like that), on sto.cc it's "Jing Yang" also, in arc 2, some people's names got confused, suddenly the villain's name of arc 2 was desribed as the villain of arc 1 (but that was only 1 time so far) and the conversation (who said what) was also one time switched around. although these two minor things aren't that confusing, but still.
also, many many TYPOS! i guess the author is a fast writer and doesn't check (carefully enough) after finishing writing. which for people reading raw can kind of spot it right on the go (since the characters have the same sounds), but for mtlers it would be difficult. while the whole plot of the story doesn't change bc of this and mtlers can still understand it when they are warned beforehand (like i am warning you now), it's still a big MINUS POINT in execution from the author in my opinion. this is so far the first novel that i've found so many mistakes in, it's a bit sad since the two arcs that i've read are quite nice and from a different point of view than normal fast wears.
arc 1 is modern world, so normally it's about business management, actors, entertainment, etc. but in this novel it's about a son of a rich family that has a long history of being amazing cooks! COOKS! wow, first time ever in a fast wear. arc 2 is ancient world, so one normally imagines veeeery old with emperors, concubines, palace plots, etc. but no, it's in a time where it's still old but new enough to have guns. it's during the time when Opium was first introduced to China and many got addicted to it. MC is again a son from a rich business merchant family that has to find a way to save his business. also, half-bastard-brother trying to ruin him, but they are also focusing on the Beijing Opera where they act and sing and dance. i also liked how mc and ml interacted with each other (some parts, even though not detailed, were kind of steamy *blush*) and the prolgue was quite good imo. there is suspence and mc doesn't know why he is in this situation and he even wanted to give up and was ready to have his sould ripped apart just to stop this endless circle or reincarnations. but apparently someone out there, beyond the "99 days" that is still waiting patiently for him. one can imagine how the ending will be, but still curious how MC got into this situation.
So a big plus for new takes on the usual worlds, but a big minus for all the typos and mistakes (and really, i am a slightly above novice-level reader that can spot some mistakes, but beginners and mtlers will (maybe?) have a hard time >.< ) i would suggest you using the sto.cc website for reading since there are fewer mistakes in it (and the mc's name is called Jing Yang there and not some weird shit like ZD, the heck >.>)

This is SAO-esque story.. There might be many inaccuracy, bc it’s similar with XianXia world, and I’m weak on XianXia.. MC wake up in pain & feel dizzy, he saw a group of people fighting monster, an extremely handsome man suddenly turned to look at him, MC can see ridicule & disdain in his eyes, MC think such person didn’t deserve such a face. MC observe the fight & guessing this is a fantasy world, the defeated monster scattered like glass fragment & drop a lot of items, seeing people take items & put them in air then disappear, MC guessing those items is stored in the storage space. MC currently doesn’t know if he’s teaming with these people & stood still. A handsome blond guy calls him & asks if he’s alright after being hit. MC cautiously reviews a bit of original memory, the man called Zuo YanMing, real name Zhao Chao. MC didn’t understand why game name is in front of real name, he need to find the time to reviews all the original memory. MC observe the people appearances all gorgeous, but have the feel of a mannequin, he pinch himself & fell his body is normal. They arrived at a two-storey house with large yard, but strangely no other houses are around. The other handsome man is ridiculing MC, tell him he is so weak, if he were MC, he won’t have face to live at all; MC is simply a waste of opportunities for others to live. Before, he make many excuse not to attend gathering, after surgery he come & amazed many people. ZC at first sad about DNY death, but later get together with the handsome Jane, many people are envious of him. MC opened his eyes & see the sky already dark, he feel that this game world is very realistic, if they are tired/sleepy they need to sleep. The man surprised, don’t know if he amazed by the fireball or MC protective cover. MC send a strong energy to the man so he can finish the monster, the man didn’t resist MC energy & quickly defeat the monster. MC wait to see what items the monster give & shocked it was 2 rare & precious stones, MC feel envious of that man luck. ZC team is shocked seeing MC able to deploy 2 protective cover, even Jane can’t do it. MC whip HY to death, ZC tried to stop him, but MC ignores him. ZC team attack MC protective cover, but unable to breach it, ZC tried to negotiate, asking why MC so vicious, MC sneer HY is the one who start it, so HY can attack, but he can’t defend himself? MC said he hate this kind of people, if ZC have to ability, they can help him take revenge, then proceed to kill HY. They quarreled for a while, Jane attack MC, but got whipped, he witness MC whip HY to death, he don’t want to experience it. ZC team about to attack MC, but suppressed by A team impressive aura(?). ZC tells MC they are now enemies & left. A team currently ranked first by a wide margin. MC examine the treasure dropped by target monster, if MC can study the treasure, he can solve the game problem & save everyone. MC go to ML room, ML only wearing bath towel, MC enter the room & seeing ML didn’t plan to dress, MC suddenly feel thirsty. MC report to ML he found problem with the treasure that might be directly related to the game problem. ML ask MC to elaborate, MC show ML what he found, also said he’s able to raise weapon’s energy so high is bc he found the wrong code & revised it. MC said the error code at refining process might be the cause of game system failure. ML starts an emergency conference with A team & explain everything. MC said he’s about 90% sure this is the problem, in theory he can solve it. ML ask MC to try, if MC really can do it, they will contact the game technician. MC & one teammate busy for 2 days, then stopped bc of new mission. The team split into group of 2-3 to search for target monster. MC & ML found it, they see a beautiful female player crying for help, ML quickly kill the monster. The girl thanking MC & ML, when she’s about to approach them, ML wields his weapon towards her. The girl act pitiful, asking if MC & ML don’t feel bad bullying a girl, MC think how can he feel bad? This is the first time he done such a thing. ML tell MC he’ll escort him to MC room, MC a bit confused but didn’t refuse. In front of the door, ML kiss MC, but MC didn’t feel the familiar feeling. MC enter his room & feel upset, then guessing that maybe he don’t feel it bc they are now in game world. The team that join together to oppose A team called themselves Joint Counterattack. When the 3rd mission opened, they planned to besiege A team. The people in JC team are selfish, thinking they can at least reduce A team member, so they have the chance to join A team. The 3rd mission is in a maze, JC team quickly occupy the hills & wait to ambush A team. When ML call MC to come over, MC hesitate, others quickly urge them to finish the mission, MC depressed, thinking he recently deliberately avoid ML, bc if ML is not his love, he don’t want to deepen their feelings. ML push MC to a wall to avoid trap, then ask why MC avoid him, MC said they have task, ML said the task is unimportant, then demand MC to answer him. MC bite the bullet & tell ML he don’t want temporary feelings, he don’t want to start anything in game world, he want real relationship. ML ask if ZC leave shadow in MC heart, MC denied it, saying he don’t have feeling toward ZC. Lots of player excited, A team new member couldn’t help but feel nervous, they think if more player join A team, their survival rate will drop. Game system notify player that the number of escape exit increases, the number is exactly the same with the member A team has accepted. A team veteran member explained everything to the new member, the new member happy & full of gratitude. Only ZC team is in a complex mood, in the end they still want to live, so they resolved to ask for MC forgiveness & give back what MC has given them so he’ll let them join A team. ZC team is excluded in everything & feel others hostility, they thought if not for Jane, MC will not leave their team & it’s their team that will become respected, the team hate Jane now. In the final stage, game technician arrange those who already died to join A team. MC requested to let each player real body grouped by their own team, his purpose ofc to expose the real Jane. They all go back to reality, Jane touch his face is not scarred, but not the smooth face from the game, when he looked around, he see everyone around him shocked seeing him. One teammate asks if he’s Jane, Jane desperately denied it; the others finally understand why Jane never attend party gathering before. A waiter come & give him a steak & a bottle of red wine, MC tell the waiter he didn’t order it. The waiter tell MC a gentleman surnamed Feng sent MC this & give MC a large bouquet of white roses. MC think for a moment & accept the bouquet, Feng Qi is ML real name, MC wondered how ML know he liked white roses? MC recall the first time he like white rose is from the first world ML, he always sent MC white roses. ML suddenly appeared behind MC, ask MC if he like it. MC said which one did he ask, the rose or the wine? ML said both, MC said he really like it. After dinner MC still feel nervous, ML offered to send MC back, MC refuse said he have a car, ML said then you send me back. MC nervous but he have to know sooner or later, so he let ML send him back. At MC home, he kiss ML, ML stunned for 2 second, then kiss MC back forcefully. MC feel the familiar feeling almost cry, he didn’t love the wrong person, whatever the circumstances, the one he falls in love with is his lover. They happily go to bed together (chapter 67). The next morning, ZC come to apologize to MC, MC said he’ll forgive ZC as long as he never show up in front of MC ever again. ZC beg MC to give him a chance, ML come out wearing only bathrobe, ZC accuse MC of infidelity, MC couldn’t careless & shut his door. When ZC come back to his home, he notice Jane & angrily yelled at him not to find him ever again. Jane pitifully said they already married, ZC said it’s only a game, everything is fake, then enter his home. ML introduce MC to A team veteran, they call MC sister-in-law, MC discovered they all childhood friend & in reality ML also the leader. After the party ML bought MC back to his home, saying from now on this is their home. For MC every encounter is a miracle, so he especially cherish the short time they have together, the daily kiss, hug & sleep is his precious memory..
Since i read the first arc on danmeila and had this problem, i would recommend the sto.cc site (but no guarantee that it will have less typos in first arc) and now i am currently reading at the sto.cc site
I don‘t think you will be disappointed with the cooking arc, it‘s also a bit refreshing that ML doesn‘t appear immediately and MC doesn‘t rely on him entirely.
Also, ML lets MC do what he wants in all the arcs so far, the only condition is that they spend as much time together as they can xD
I don‘t know, i honestly don‘t pity him, he did many horrible things even in this life with mc: he slandered mc and gave interviews that made mc bad, he asked his rich friend by pretending to be a nice guy that got treated unjustly so that this rich guy would try to kill mc, the car accident was instigated by him. He also saw how mc‘s mom killed herself and slandered her name. He planned to trap mc at the beginning to ruin him financially and his name and in the last life he even succeeded. I can‘t stand these fake two-faced people who only feel better, when they stump on other people‘s faces to elevate themselves. The one i kinda pity is the foster son of the Music Arc, bc he did this out of jealousy and his insecurities. But even then i didn‘t like him, bc he could have lived a peaceful life even without all that drama.
FoD MC can perfect his body to the limit of that world and also spy on people via electronics and hack if its available i think, but otherwise everything else he uses to his advantage is knowledge.
If this MC is like that then its not super OP i guess.
