I'm skimming too fast to tell, but I'm around chapter 60-ish and yes, I think we see some of them around. JQ's dad might be kinda a hardass though -- it's mentioned that JQ's family was military and his body's weak because of a not-so-accident in his childhood. He got pushed into cold water (a pond or something) and got really sick. This was a disappointment to his military father, since he otherwise would have been like everyone else in the family and learned martial arts.

I came across this novel very recently, and I was pleasantly surprised. It's super fluffy with just enough plot without the over the top drama.
Based on the spoilers provided, whose son is the eldest prince who is eventually exiled as a commoner? I thought he was maybe the current Empress's son, but that does not seem to be the case? And Jing Chen and Jing Shao are full brothers, so obviously their mom is not the mother either. The only time he's cropped up so far, was for stating that the fourth prince may have taken for himself, the fish tribute meant for the Emperor.
Also, whatever happened to Fu Ren Song? I understood she was banished, but from the spoilers it seems she was back to welcome MC and ML when they return from the war?
I can't wait for the "rival" to turn up...I really want to see JS's reactions to a potential love rival and how the rival interacts with his beloved wife ^_^

Remember the restaurant owner, Xiao Yuan n his male wife Zhou Jin. Jing Shao took JQ there to intoduce them. They started to talk about business since JQ wanted to open shop/restaurant. JS felt that he was ignored n was third wheel.
There was a temple fair. JS went there with JQ. He saw a pink clothed woman and chased after her. JQ was confused. Who was the woman? When he was alone, his elder brother n two cousins came.
JS who just returned thought they were harrasing his wife and hit them. He was surprised to see that he knocked out his brother in law. But he was happy. That was repay for when JQ was pushed into pond.
Time skip to jQ's father birthday party. 4th prince was also there. On their way home, they met a woman. It was that pink clothed woman from temple fair earlier. JS invited her home.
JQ was jealous because JS often busy these days. When JS found out he told him that the woman would be useful in the future n he couldn't let 4th prince get her. (She killed one of jS's enemy in original time)
JQ was relieved. JS told him that he didn't need to worry. He wouldn't take new concubine.
But what about children?
JS said that he had JQ n that was more important.
JQ finally admitted that he like JS. They did it.
Back to copying book of war, JQ mostly did it for him. JS thought the feeling of someone doing his homework was really great, no wonder JQ's brother n cousins bully him to do their homework. that was how JQ could copy people's letter.
There was this monthly male wife gathering in the capital n this time ZJ took JQ with him. JS was fast became friends with the restaurant owner n his wife. He even called ZJ brother Zhou.
JQ met with other male wives. A lot of them had problem in the house, coz of concubines n children. The husbands wanted children to continue famliy line. JQ was the person with the highest rank there. There were a lot of important person too but they all respect ZJ coz ZJ married happily for many years and his husband didn't have concubine.
Suddenly, one if JQ's cousin came to the gathering. He started saying words about JQ, concubine etc. JQ was annoyed and left the gathering, saying that it was already late. When he got out, jS was already there to pick him. Everyone paid respect to JS.
JQ's cousin face was black. The other envied JQ. He was so lucky. Coz of that, everyone in the capital knew that JS favoured JQ
