- jing Shao n Jun Qing finally did it! JS was so happy. He was on cloud nine.
- Jun Qing opened shop. He decided to sell balm.
- JQ was the second son of North Marquis. But he was a bastard coz his mother was never made concubine. It was only now the Marquis made JQ's mother as side wife. (I think side wife here means second wife/ce fei, position above concubine). JQ's mother was really happy. After twenty years, she could call his son with his name. Previously, she had to call him young master.
- emperor wanted JS to take second wife. JS refused. He said. 'I'm only interested in man now'
When jQ heard about it, he asked if JS wasn't afraid to anger his father.
JS replied that it's better this way. So, they don't bother him again.
- JS was the third prince. His elder brother was the 2nd prince. They both were born by the late empress Yuan. The current empress now wasn't their mother. JS's mother death had connection with conspiracy that killed him in original timeline. (I didn't mention it in previous recaps but JS was scheming all this time to ruin/kill his enemies)
- the empress called JQ to the palace. Worried, JS went to the palace too. But without call, he could only stay at prince study. He ordered servant to follow JQ n reported back if there was problem. He then entertained his younger brothers with his exploits during battle.
- the empress was angry because the girl jS refused as his second wife was her niece. She blamed JQ.
'You are older than the prince. You should advise him. He needs heir etc.'
She then punished JQ to kneel outside.
- at study room, the emperor suddenly came. JS used the opportunity to say that he only got married for 4 months n wanted to enjoy time with princess consort. He didn't want addition.
The emperor saw that his son who used to think about battle n war can speak like this and laugh.
- suddenly, jS servant came running. Seeing the emperor, he begged emperor to save princess consort.
- JQ was actually alright. He wasn't some weak concubine at inner palace. But seeing the emperor's presence, he thought 'why didn't he make the matter bigger and pretended to pass out. His shirt was wet with sweat, face pale.
- everyone panicked. Doctor was called. JQ secretly pinched jS so he knew that JQ was alright. The doctor said that JQ body was weaker than normal people and gave him pill.
- cause this fainting matter, the emperor let the matter about JS's concubine go. He also reprimanded n punished the empress. The emperor lamented that if only empress yuan were still alive
- JS n JQ returned home. JS would leave for military expedition. JQ was sad. The next day, he woke up in carriage. Ofc JS wouldn't leave JQ alone in Beijing. He planned to secretly take JQ away but coz of fainting incident, emperor let him take JQ to south as long as people didn't know that JQ was princess consort

JS brought JQ with him to army camp as his military strategist. While feeding his top-grade horse, he tells his horse he ought to find him a spouse. Then he asks him if he'd rather have a mare or a stallion.
