I was thinking the same, but just to make sure. I remember the plot s/he was talking about, and it has a different title, though I don’t remember.

I remember they changed some things in the manhua but my memory is bad, as you can see on my last post, it’s also a reaction on the spoilers here. I remember the ending was related to having panels of an amusement park. They may or may not have separated, leaning on the former. At the very least, I feel it’s not as stressful as the novel spoilers

?????? But she's a doctor??? ¿¿¿¿¿
I suddenly remembered this frustrating af manhua and wanted to check it out, gotta give it to the manhua authors and their "pulling sh1t out of nowhere" writing skill

Kinda sad she eventually betrays Hazel, eh? Sure, the pressure was too much for her and Hazel WAS supporting her the best she could but it still hurts knowing we get some kind of betrayal.
Honestly, I could tell/it was mentioned/implied early on that Hazel was adoptive early on so the sudden darkness on her identity didn't bother me that much, Aaron lying to her was also somewhat necessary (and with the help of her father explaining it to her, she was willing to understand it but as the key person involve AND as an adult, she deserves to know something instead of nothing).
If anything, I think Jason's real father subplot was unnecessary for me (sure, the author might've some elaborate explanation, but I stand my case, compared to the coming plot conflicts, Jason's real identity is much more... worthless? Refreshing take sure but definitely not needed in the long run (since both leads still treat him as a son)

This book is an actual mess, I've been a bookworm my whole life and read everything I can under the sun - and the is the one I hate the most.

Why are people okay with this plot? Seriously? The fact he abandons Hazel and pretends to have another lover is gross lmao (inb4 'there's so many Chinese novels like this' - I know they're all trash, so I steer clear of them) - this story fooled me with the cute storyline and webtoon.

And then BAM there's bloody conspiracy everywhere, murder happening to everyone related, controlling gu insects, a thousand secrets and blackmailing and betrayals.. actually went down the drain to the swamp LMAO.

And I hate this story more than the one where

ML is abusive and cheats on MC, throwing her away to marry another woman, sends her to other men to ra*e, breaks her legs, makes her homeless and causes her to be unable to get a job so that she gives birth to a daughter in a cold warehouse probably in winter, refuses to heal the daughter with leukemia because of his shitty new wife (who is drugging him and causes him to be infertile) - and oh yeah, there's a nice 2ML who is a sweet doctor who helps out as much as he can and also trying to find bone marrow and everything, but he needs to be a foil to ML so becomes an a$*hole because author was all 'muh ML!'.
And the ML tries to STEAL the daughter and suing in court and everything because he and his family are like 'boohoo my trash new wife was drugging me and I can't carry on my line!' and MC is only saved by a KID.
And in the end they live 'happily' ever after as a wonderful family of three...
This is the second worst because this is just outright sickening trash, it's not trying to pretend to be a normal story full of trash secretly.
ANYWAYS /rant.

I know the West has some questionable choices of writing, but Mills&Boon bodice rippers and 50 Shades pale in comparison to the things Chinese women come out with sometimes... and on the other end of the spectrum there's just so many amazing novels that blow a lot of Western writing right out of the water.
Why is the contrast so big?! How do Chinese people have such crazy varied imagination with all the censorship..

I know a lot of stories have crazier plots than this, but this one just really rubbed me the wrong way for some reason and traumatised me, I'm not even sure why..

..Ahem. Thank you for listening!
