Berserk Chapter 9 Discussion

It's crazy how strong Guts is to be able to swing that 400 pound sword like it's nothing. The story of Berserk is so interesting and dark, so far I have only read the three volumes and it's already so dark and crazy. I wonder what Griffith has done to Guts to make him have so much hatred towards him. I can't wait to read more and have a deeper understanding of why Guts suffers so much.

i'm glad we're getting to see guts' past. It helps explain some of his behaviors from the earlier chapters.

he already killed someone with the age of nine. that's what i call a beast.

So I'm waiting for the next volume to arrive in the mail, and now I'm waiting in suspense. How much guts (tehe) does it take to end a volume with a husky blacksmith probs raping a nine year old boy? I mean, that's what it seems to be, maybe it isn't, I'll find out next chapter. but in no way would I put it past Berserk to go that far. Even so, jesus christ....

Guts has lived a very harsh life...I hope that ending panel was just cliffhanger bait and what I think happens doesn't actually happen...

Tiny Guts, how cute. But the guy's childhood started off bad from birth.

His childhood made me a bit teary-eyed. Wish there were someone else that could give him more warmth & care besides his adoptive mom.
