So here I am! After watching the Golden Age Movies as a start I am now beginning the real journey!

Solid and interesting 1 chapter! Already set up some little mysteries and I think I am going to like Puck!

8/10 for the 1 chapter!

Guess it's either I am only used to shounen or this guy is just an evil ass main character. I like how it's depicted and how he lured that guy here and that guy's troups killed everyone, babies included. That was fucked up how he had that child hanging from his weapon and drinking his blood like Soda. Rare to find a person as evil as he appears to be but I guess we don't know too much about him. Got some spoilers on his past life. Thought it was funny as to how he laughed at that elf when he asked why'd he help him out but thought he was a jerk after that. It seemed he cared somewhat because he was like "where are you going?"...or maybe he just wants him around so he could heal him when he wants him to. I'll continue and hope to enjoy more.

Fantastic intro chapter, it perfectly sets the tone for Berserk.

I quite enjoy how it opens up with the sex scene. It perfectly captures Guts merging with monstrosity, with the catch that we're immediately shown Guts was just as demonic, if not more, all along.

It was much too big to be called a sword. Massive, thick, heavy and far too rough. Indeed, it was like a heap of raw iron. So simple and yet so brilliant in how it reflects Guts' nature and struggle. It invokes something too overwhelming weighin down on him, burdens and hardships too heavy. Something an ordinary person wouldn't be able to endure. Yet, Guts not only carries it on his back but also learned to wield and swing it around as a weapon. It perfectly conveys his resilience, mental fortitude and how he deals and copes with adversity.

Puck's quite funny. Interesting how elves in this series are akin to fairies in most other fantasies.
