Berserk Chapter 63 Discussion

Ok now what the fuck that was BEAUTIFUL. Such raw emotion from Guts you see the man pouring his heart out for the first time in his God damn life and then you have someone like Casca who is in love with Guts and sees how many blows he's taken for her, so in this fit of emotional consoling, she wants to shoulder his past traumas so that she can make him realize that he doesn't have to be afraid to be open. I want a love like Guts and Casca have

As much as the flashbacks may have "ruined the moment" according to some people here, in a way I'm glad it did. This chapter was absolutely incredibly well done, one of the most emotional romance scenes I've ever seen,  I'm blown away.

Read this already but just coming back to say that is is one of the greatest romances I've witnessed in fiction, not just from Japanese media.cartoonartist said:
That's just a continuation of what was going on in the last chapter - fanservice with some dialogue to let it be genuine.

Clearly you couldn't comprehend what was really going on.

This is why kids shouldn't read Berserk.

Quite well done, though I think the anime did a better job at some parts of this scene.  However, it certainly did no justice on how strongly Gambino's death effects Guts.  And as mentioned, Caska's words throughout this whole chapter were very well written and heartfelt.

Guts has let himself be vulnerable with Casca, just like she with him. I'm glad that they were able to get much closer with each other. Judeau was right!
