I remember when this manga used to be somewhat realistic -_-

inb4 Naruto and Sasuke get a powerup to defeat Kaguya

Best part of this chapter was finding out about Zetsu's origin and the cover art, the rest was meh.

has anyone paid attention to what kaguya said '' these 2 must be hagoromo and hamura's ... no indra and ashura ? ''

means that sasuke is not indra but hamura and naruto is the sage hagoromo ? and we also know that madara is indra and hashirama is ashura

No, from what I got from this is that she thought sasuke and naruto were the reincarnations of hagoromo and hamura (which they're not). This leads me to wonder if there are reincarnations of both of them on the moon, this could be why Kaguya wishes to raise an army. She wants revenge on them two for some reason not yet shown or someone else completely.

I think I have a theory with regards to Kaguya and why she would want soldiers. It might be kinda insane, that’s where this manga is right now, yes?

So, it’s stated by Black Zetsu that Kaguya wants soldiers. But for what? Apparently everyone in the world is trapped in the genjutsu, so who is there to fight?! After having read the chapter on a website I usually read from, I was looking through the comments, some of which were people jokingly (or maybe not?) saying that Kaguya was going to wage interplanetary war. This is obviously coming from when Naruto had spoken with the SOSP, when Naruto had asked if he was some kind of alien, with the Sage replying that he wasn’t too far from the truth.

This made me recall about “The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter,” which is obviously where Kaguya is coming from, with Kishi’s love of incorporating Japanese myths and folklores in this story. If you don’t know the story read here for a summary:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tale_of_the_Bamboo_Cutter#Narrative

So, Kaguya in “The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter” was a celestial maiden from the Moon. If this is has been incorporated into “Naruto,” this might explain that alien comment. Another thing to possibly note is that when Naruto questioned where Kaguya had come from, the Sage refused to answer. It’s only hinted she’s from a faraway place.

Going back to "The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter", quoting the Wikipedia page, it’s said “in some versions of this tale, it is said that she was sent to the Earth as a temporary punishment for some crime, while others say it was for safety during a celestial war…” For “Naruto,” let’s focus on the former.

Now, we return to the question: what exactly does Kaguya need soldiers for? If Kishi incorporates the fact that Kaguya did indeed come from the Moon (and was perhaps sent down as a punishment), does she want to wage war on the Moon people?

TO SUMMARIZE, Kaguya is from the Moon, she was banished maybe, and she wants to wage war with Moon people using humans turned into White Zetsus to fight.

I honestly have no idea. I could be so dead wrong about this. Again, the theory is kind of insane, but it’s just what came to my mind.

Read my post to the other guy and tell me what you think of it. From what I've gathered this doesn't seem too far off though this doesn't mean it'll happen.

To all the people bitching, this Kaguya twist was hinted at ages ago. It's clear Kishimoto has been taking liberties from The Tale Of The Bamboo Cutter, and honestly I don't even see Kaguya as the last villain either, this honestly just opens the door to part III of the manga which I expected Kishimoto to do all along.

I'm very nervous as to why Kaguya wants solders at all...considering I don't think there is anyone left to wage war with on their planet...meaning there might be fights against "aliens" after all. Though seriously, I think she will be the last villain of Part II, but all of this will open the door to Part III.

Also while I enjoy current Sasuke, it's clear he has ulterior motives about his eventual goals regarding the Leaf village, but he could very well still be the last enemy of the series for Naruto to fight, though I don't really wish for that at all. Sasuke is much better as a comrade.

You know Kishimoto must have inspired kaguya  from the kaguyahime tale that old japanese folk tale also I think she is the final boss and believe its goign to be the end of the series

and about  sasuke he understand the error of his ways and  will now make peace with naruto that means for those who want to have naruto and sasuke battle each other to death FAT CHANCE!  he  will just be a comrade to naruto anyway.

Since early on in the series, Madara was brought up to be the final end boss. If they kick him out the window for this bish we only found out about a couple chapters ago I hope this series crashes and burns :|

INCOMING TALK NO JUTSU! and no more ninja plot or whatever. naruto 1st half> current.

This is total bullshit. What the fuck is Kishi thinking? There wasn't nearly enough foreshadowing for Kaguya to be last villain. Madara was good main antagonist, and now he goes down without EVEN A FUCKING WORD? What the fuck Kishi, Kubo is the troll, not you. I am starting to hate Naruto as much as I hated Bleach while Kenpachi was fighting with that brain shitty quincy.

Absolutely terrible chapter. This chapter completely ruins Madara as a villain because it makes him nothing but a pawn that was manipulated just like Obito. White zetsus earlier in the series were said to be imperfect clones of the first hokage but now all of a sudden they are related to the Infinite Tsukuyomi. This reveal makes it predictable how the fight will end. Sasuke and Naruto will most likely fuse together and become the sage of the 6 paths the same way Madara and Black Zetsu fused to become Kaguya and he will take her down.

Maybe that is all he was. A pawn, but an incredible one at that.

It was said before that those clones were made from Hashirama cells but who knows if it was a lie. We don't know for certain if it's the truth. Maybe all this time they were somehow related to the infinite tsukuyomi. Maybe in future chapters we get further explanations. The manga is coming to its end, and I don't think Kishi wants his manga to end with plot holes. lol I really hope so. He really needs to fully explain everything in the coming chapters because the reveal made no kind of sense. The white zetsus being imperfect clones of Hashirama made perfect sense considering they are plant like, when Orochimaru took over one of the white zetsus 2nd hokage if I remember correctly could sense that Orochimaru was made up of  the 1st hokage's cells and  Tobi implied that first Hokage cells were used to create the zetsu army considering he showed Kabuto the cultivation of Hashirama's cells which looks like a humanoid version of him connected to the tree. White zetsus being connected to the infinite tsukuyomi to me makes no sense at all.

You're forgetting the fact that Hashirama's power and cells originated from the God-tree. He is a descendent of Hagoromo, who is the son of Kaguya, who in turn ate the Chakra fruit from the Shinju. Furthermore, he is also one of the reincarnations Ashura's will transmigrated to overtime. Added to the fact that the Shinju as well as the Infinite Tsukuyomi are pretty much linked, it makes perfect sense. It's quite obvious that the Zetsu predated both Madara and Hashirama. Obito...or Madara or whoever created them just used a shortcut by taking advantage of Hashirama's mokuton abilities and harvesting them like that. Or else they would have had to wait until they pulled of the genjutsu to use the Zetsu. All in all, it makes perfect sense. All ninjas would have gotten their power from the God tree. If humans can be turned into white zetsus then why didn't Madara turn the ninja alliance (Naruto and Sasuke included)into white zetsus so as to allow the plan to go smoothly without interruption?

Naruto and Sasuke aren't under the Mugen Tsukuyomi, so how would he be able to? Also, something tells me Madara was just winging it when he started things up, but Kaguya actually seems to be proficient in controlling people through the jutsu. I'm talking about before he launched mugen tsukuyomi. Also concerning your previous point about  1st hokage being Ashura's reincarnation. Naruto is also Ashura's reincarnation so why didn't  Tobi ever think about using Naruto's cells to create more zetsus?

One can only turn into Zetsu when they are under the influence of the genjutsu. I thought that much was clear. An even then, it's a gradual process.

Because Naruto doesn't have Mokuton abilities, another thing that should have been obvious. You need the Wood style to create Zetsu, not just any random cells.  The only similarity between the two is that they're both reincarnations of him due to their shared beliefs. Kishimoto will have to explain that because I don't get why humans can only be turned into white zetsus if they are under the mugen tsukuyomi. That's my point that it made sense when it was first stated that zetsus were imperfect clones of Harashima. You need his cells specifically or someone with his cells (Yamato) to create them.

Once you connect all the dots, it's entirely fathomable, for the most part anyway. It all links back to the Juubi tree. Hashirama's abilities are just a variation of the tree, the Zetsus are originally just productions of the tree. Tobi and Madara just took a shortcut by harvesting them through Yamato and Hashirama's cells since it was the closest they could get to the tree.
