I remember when this manga used to be somewhat realistic -_-

inb4 Naruto and Sasuke get a powerup to defeat Kaguya

Best part of this chapter was finding out about Zetsu's origin and the cover art, the rest was meh.

I usually defend naruto on many different levels mostly from people that just bitch and complain and insult the author, but this. lol I really don't know what to think of this. Even I a hardened naruto fan has come to a realization that this just has really gotten over the top ridiculous. I bet people were thinking the same thing when akira toriyama transitioned dragon ball into dragon z though. In away its kind of similar.

I am still clinging onto the hope though that orochimaru still has a role to play, i am not buying the fact that he was just resurrected to be an observer and nothing more.

Well at least now we know we are on the absolute final phase of the manga. Cause madara is no more.

"I will continue to raise the tension with out restraint" Yeah yu sure as hell did masashi kishimoto

Absolutely terrible chapter. This chapter completely ruins Madara as a villain because it makes him nothing but a pawn that was manipulated just like Obito. White zetsus earlier in the series were said to be imperfect clones of the first hokage but now all of a sudden they are related to the Infinite Tsukuyomi. This reveal makes it predictable how the fight will end. Sasuke and Naruto will most likely fuse together and become the sage of the 6 paths the same way Madara and Black Zetsu fused to become Kaguya and he will take her down.

Tbh Madara was not very good to begin with, but they keep replacing villains with even less interesting ones whilst ruining an aldready not very good one.

First, they introduced edo tensei villains, then kyuubi went soft, Tobi went 180 as fast as he went the other way around. And now Madara got popped because nobody knows what to do with him.

Suggestion: introduce a much weaker but smarter villain to set it back to scale. Lose the bijuu. :/ Madara to me was a good villain and deserved to be the final villain because of how much he was built up as a villain. I think the problem is Kishimoto is trying way too hard to have as much twists as possible in this war arc. I agree with your suggestion but the ship has sailed for something like that because this is the last arc. I think Danzo should of had a longer life in the manga and a more prominent role because he is the intelligent type of villain that is weak.

He had a lot of screentime and hype, so I get it, but he was very shallow in my opinion. It was already in bad taste that he came as an Edo, then got nerfed out of his immortality, and even then couldn't kishi think of an exit, so.. We get kaguya. I  actually liked the reveal that Madara was the Edo Tobi was afraid of, I would of never guessed it was him. I was glad he lost his immortality  because that meant that he could be killed, if he had remained immortal the only way to defeat him would of been through talk no jutsu. Kishimoto really disappointed me  by basically axing Madara and having Kaguya take his place as main villain.

as powerful as she is, this is probably going to resolve itself without much fighting.

People kept saying this about madara, and before that about tobi/obito. "talk no jutsu" over and over. Now the same people are crying "Is this fight dragging on?"

Endless streams of bullshit comments in every Naruto chapter is the norm and people still coming back every week to bitch. I guess it's true that haters speak louder.

Kaguya is a much better villain than Madara. More sinister and until further reveal about her background and true intention I'll reserve my judgement. I'm guessing she simply wants to get rid all humans that she perceive as cancer to Earth.

The thing that hit hard in this chapter is the revelation that all those white Zetsus the ninjas were fighting used to be normal people. I thought Madara grew them like fruits -__-

Of course, everyone's entitled to there own opinion, rather negative or positive. But you would have to be out of your mind to quit reading the manga after investing so many years into it. That is why people cling to it, despite what the haters say.

The only people i hate are the ones that come on here and troll it for no reason when they aren't even reading/watching it.

Definitely bizarre to get rid of madara after so many chapters about him being the main boss............is he dead, absorbed, trapped?

I actually have no idea what happened in this chapter, how did Kaguya appear? Is she a giant or normal size?

If she is stronger than Madara who naruto and Sasuke couldnt touch, how are they going to fight against her?

Being a massive Naruto fan and defending the series on the other forums, well, I have to agree that this chapter was the weirdest chapter I've ever read. Although lets not jump to conclusions. I still have hopes in Kishimoto, we all though Obito was finished off cheaply by Kakashi, until he became the Juubi Jinchuuriki. Though the power levels are way too high now, I liked how Kishi made Sasuke and Naruto attack Madara with strategy, no mountain busting attacks and shit, except when it was needed against the 30 chibaku tensei meteors.

I do miss those days when Naruto used to struggle to even make a Rasenshuriken and had downsides to it. Now? Lol kyuubi healing and infinite chakra. Also, I didn't like how Kishi made Naruto the child of prophecy. A hardworking, never giving up child, who finally became acknowledged turns out be a reincarnation of the son of a god. No, just no!

People here are hipsters. Hating this series is considered cool and what not.

You're allowed to voice your opinion, but if you give 1/5 on a chapter which is rated 5/5 by more than 100-120 users, then there's something wrong with you. I don't know how the Bijuu Mode chapter, #571 even got some 1/5's.

Great now Kaguya shows up, and the situation hasn't gotten any better.

I think I have a theory with regards to Kaguya and why she would want soldiers. It might be kinda insane, that’s where this manga is right now, yes?

- - -

So, it’s stated by Black Zetsu that Kaguya wants soldiers. But for what? Apparently everyone in the world is trapped in the genjutsu, so who is there to fight?! After having read the chapter on a website I usually read from, I was looking through the comments, some of which were people jokingly (or maybe not?) saying that Kaguya was going to wage interplanetary war. This is obviously coming from when Naruto had spoken with the SOSP, when Naruto had asked if he was some kind of alien, with the Sage replying that he wasn’t too far from the truth.

This made me recall about “The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter,” which is obviously where Kaguya is coming from, with Kishi’s love of incorporating Japanese myths and folklores in this story. If you don’t know the story read here for a summary:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tale_of_the_Bamboo_Cutter#Narrative

So, Kaguya in “The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter” was a celestial maiden from the Moon. If this is has been incorporated into “Naruto,” this might explain that alien comment. Another thing to possibly note is that when Naruto questioned where Kaguya had come from, the Sage refused to answer. It’s only hinted she’s from a faraway place.

Going back to "The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter", quoting the Wikipedia page, it’s said “in some versions of this tale, it is said that she was sent to the Earth as a temporary punishment for some crime, while others say it was for safety during a celestial war…” For “Naruto,” let’s focus on the former.

Now, we return to the question: what exactly does Kaguya need soldiers for? If Kishi incorporates the fact that Kaguya did indeed come from the Moon (and was perhaps sent down as a punishment), does she want to wage war on the Moon people?

- - -

TO SUMMARIZE, Kaguya is from the Moon, she was banished maybe, and she wants to wage war with Moon people using humans turned into White Zetsus to fight.

I honestly have no idea. I could be so dead wrong about this. Again, the theory is kind of insane, but it’s just what came to my mind.

At this point, considering the fact that we know next to nothing about her, that theory might be a bit far-fetched. But I was thinking something similar. What really motivates Kaguya to do all this? The Infinite Tsukuyomi? All these soldiers (Zetsus) that she is preparing for something, even the Chakra fruit. Why did she eat it? What's driving her to do all this?

Kaguya really doesn't have any need for soldiers to fight for her. Madara was pretty much invincible and it's been made clear so far that she is on a WHOLE new level when it comes to power. So that rules out the possibility that she's cultivating soldiers for violent purposes. While reading the chapter, I recalled how Hagoromo stated that she was from a faraway land and that she wasn't originally from the Shinobi world. And this is where I thought of something. What if her old civilization was destroyed....or something along those lines and she came to this world, to eat the Chakra fruit and recreate that old civilization, or at least a similar one. Her and Madara's dreams were similar in the fact that they both wanted to create a perfect world, but her reasons maybe more legitimate than his. I don't know if you noticed, but in this chapter she said a particular comment that caught my attention. She used the word "Nursery" when describing the place they were in and said she didn't want to destroy the land any further.

That doesn't seem like a person who is raising an army, it seems like someone raising a family. Furthermore, she's collecting and absorbing everyone's Chakra so this would mean she's planning something on a large scale....kinda like the Edo tensei where you need the genetic data of a person as well as Chakra to revive them. I don't know....I'm just speculating here, but a very much recurring theme in Naruto has been cultivating and making a better world for the newer generation, that's the reason why people like Minato, Jiraiya, Sarutobi and Itachi all died, by sacrificing themselves for the newer generations to live more peacefully. Kaguya might be up to the opposite here since she is the antagonist, She wants to sacrifice everyone for her old world, and to recreate that world she needed the fruit, tremendous amounts of chakra and a lot of time, which may explain why she was quiet all this time inside Zetsu. In a way she's similar to Sasuke, they're both stuck in the past. If her, Naruto and Sasuke have a conversation sometime about the world and all their individual motivations, it should definitely prove interesting.
