Bleach Chapter 529 Discussion

ughh I can't believe that the ever so obvious Kaien looking a lot like Ichigo except with black hair, is actually related to him -.- And I predicted that ever since the Hueco Mundo arc. This chapter just confirmed that. And also, how come Rangiku didn't notice Ishin back when they fought Aizen's crew in fake Karakura town? Also if that flashback happened before Rukia became part of the Shinigami's, then why didn't she knew about Ishin being a captain when she lived in Ichigo's house back at the start of the series. I don't buy the "because Ishin grew a beard, she didn't notice him" lmao

And reallY? Hollowfications on Hollows? hOW does that work out lol? I have a feeling that since Aizen is in this flashback, that he will come back again saying "Everything goes as planned" on some Aizen asspull shit.

I want to know what the lifespan of a Quincy is because if it is human like then Ishin should be counted as a pedo but since Juha Bach is like over 1k years old, shouldn't that mean that Ishida should be older than a highschool student?

Twas a good chapter but confusing overalll.

I wonder how Kubo will explain the existence of Ichigo's zanpakuto.

It's probably just a replica or part of Isshin's zanpakuto or he formed his own sword based on the spiritual pressure around him(like the people he encountered) and inside him(what he was born with and what Rukia gave him).

my point is that Juha Bach as the father of Ichigo*snip*

Even Aizen commented on their familial ties when Isshin used Shunpo to retreat from Aizen. And you can't say he was lying since he said it to himself, unless you believe he also lies to himself.

Copied this from another forum, to show just a few of the questions (and knowing Kubo: Potential plot holes) this chapter created:

a) How did he get a flesh and blood body? Is that a gigai or what? Benefit of the doubt, it's a reiatsu-concealing gigai.

b) How did he get a degree to practice medicine?

c) How does no one find it suspicious that he doesn't seem to have any family on Earth? ("Daddy, do you have a daddy? Tell me about grandpa!" "Uhhhhh...")

d) Why doesn't anybody seem to care that Isshin is just bumming around doing nothing when there are souls to be saved? Why doesn't Isshin care?

e) Why did Isshin see fit to keep all three of his children in the dark about both of their extraordinary heritages, especially after Hollows began showing up? Why not train them so they can defend themselves if you want to sit on your ass all day?

f) Why wasn't Masaki able to fend off a fairly weak Hollow? Was it because she didn't want to exterminate a soul anymore?

g) What did SS think whenever Aizen, Gin and Tousen went absent like that? Did they really not have any handle on what was going on in HM at all?

Not to mention that apprently nobody remembers Isshin, which is strange especially for Rangiku.

I hate Kubo for his lazy storytelling.

I highly doubt that Juha Bach is Ichigo's father. If anything, id say that Juha Bach was the father of Ichigo's mother. How could you doubt Isshin being Ichigo's father? For starters, Isshin and Ichigo both share the Getsuga Tenshou, and correct me if im wrong but im pretty sure that it was mentioned somewhere that Getsuga Tenshou was a family technique, passed down in genes.

Also, i doubt that the young mother of Ichigo would do "that" with a thousand year old man such as Juha. xD

because Juha Bach can absorb abilities like Bankai so its not impossible for Ichigo to unconsciously absorb the bankai of Isshin, and btw the first few chapters of Bleach also mentions that Ichigo absorbs the shinigami powers of Rukia so it was hinted long ago that Ichigo is a Quincy

i guess you people need more confirmation that Ichigo is a Quincy, i guess the WHOLE chapter 514 of Bleach is not yet enough confirmation, try reading MangaStream version of that chapter too since its more clearer, but ye if you still cannot believe it then hopefully in a few more chapters it will be revealed again with more concrete evidences

There's just as much evidence to support Ichigo being Issin's son and having Bach be the grandfather. Just because he says in my son at the end of the chapter 514, he could mean a lot of different things. Ichigo would still get his Quincyness from his mother. Bach is definitely a relative but he could have meant more like a spiritual son since Ichigo would also be a mix of Qunicy and Shinigami.

Honestly Ichigo being anyone but Issin's son at this point would just make more holes in the plot.

For me it felt like the chapter was too short :c

same here actually. Sometimes i wish this was a monthly to have more pages per chapter.

I guess the hollow that injured isshin was Aizen's experiment. Those do have a reputation for being troublesome.

I still thought the flash back was a ways off though. Bleach really will end too fast at this rate
