Fuck yes, called Unohana being in that picture correctly.
Seriously, Kubo writes some of the most badass women characters in shonen genre, which is somewhat refreshing compared to an outright misogyny of kishi and oda.
What other female characters in Bleach would you consider to be badass?
Yuruichi. Does not even have her sword. Went against Aizen like a badass and, frankly fared just as well as Urahara and Isshin(possibly some of the most strongest characters in the series) did.
Unagiya - a single, independent, working mother who supports herself.
Tres Bestia - defiant till the end, have one of most hax summon technologies that took Yamaji to put down, have some serious balls to go against entire force of quincies, who technically could kill them with one successful arrow(due to the nature of the said arrows), undying loyalty to their queen.
The creepy chick from RG, who is apparently smarter than Mayuri(if she is a woman).
Surprisingly even Inoue - she had abusive family, lost her brother who was the only one who protected her, got kidnapped by disc-one-final-boss and beaten up by monsters, had to watch her loved one die(frankly the whole "kurosaki-kun" thing gets lost when translated, since when in japanese, it allows you to show her mental state in the moment, as you see coherence between syllables slowly disappear). And despite all of that, she came out psychologically stable, looking forward for future and being able to freely talk about her past to others(something she was incapable at the start). She might be unable to fight as good as others due to her personality nature(since her attack strength depends on her anger), but she is perfect example of someone who went through A LOT of horrible shit and yet still manages to stand on her two feet.
Then I have no doubts that Masaki will be equally as badass in flashbacks. Especially if she is the one Isshin had to use FGT against.
Kubo does love his fanservice and objectifying his characters(but he does it to both males and females), but every time female character gets a spotlight, its an awesome one.
Don't remember much from where I stopped reading OP, but what I remember was an arc where one of only existing female characters is placed into a role of helpless damsel in distress, with character development making her 100% dependent on male lead. Don't know on if it gets better.
ANd then you have Narutoe, where I frankly can't remember even one female character who was not a:
1) powerless healer.
2) weak in terms of personality
3) domesticated submissive waifu.
And none of them get even somewhat decent character development.
