Bleach Chapter 516 Discussion

I'm starting to think that Isshin was part of the Zero Squad.

None of the others in soul society knew who he was when they saw him.

This is the first time most of them have seen the zero squad.

Isshin couldn't have been some random lower level soul reaper if he was able to get bankai and he probably fought with Bach when he used his Final Getsuga. That probably delayed Bach's plan for a few years too. Also Isshin knows quite a bit about soul society and soul reaper powers.



Now this part is just me guessing, based on other theories and hardly has any evidence.

Isshin somehow got related to a woman who Bach knows(possibly his daughter) and Isshin probably took her away to the human world after delaying Bach. When he lost his spiritual pressure, Bach couldn't chase him anymore. He probably met Urahara in the real world and told him about the soul king, or they probably met before when Urahara probably tried to infiltrate the dimension the Soul King lives in or maybe even before that.

This show has so many underdeveloped characters , yet they have to introduce another gazilion of them every arc :/  I didn't really like the design of the Zero division, I mean common:  Adele, a random villain from Beelzebub, a mad lumber, a soi-fon lookalike and some guy that looks so stupid I can't even thing of anything witty. Oh and since now after 516 chapters we get to know that destroying the zanpaktou is actually a big deal, my money is on another training arc, won't really be surprised if the bad guys will kidnap one of the main characters in the meantime.

That dude on the right will turn out to be a relative of Don Kanonji (who is actually the Soul King). Who's with me?

To me, this chapter was a mediocre one. If the pace of the revealing stuff will go like this then indeed it will take several years. Pages with Kon were a waste, because we didn't learn much from them(and imo they weren't funny either). I'm actually glad Ichigo's bankai can't be restored - it was the lamest and most useless bankai ever. BUT... the upgrade will come with the price of another training. Oh well. Still, definitely an improvement over previous, mostly horrific chapter.
