Hmm, I got bad feeling about this.
Me too, it is not like that captains were happy to even see them (Mayuri comment to Ichy) and I get the feeling it is not going to be good for Ichigo either, from what the Hirako said.
I think they are going to act all high and mighty/arrogant and throw their weight around and take charge.
Although I can see one them seeing sense and even helping Ichigo. ..
But I think, as Ichigos Bankai won’t be the same, it is a cue to develop his Quincy powers, and some sort of fusion with bankai in the end.
Lastly the zero squad being stronger than the whole 13 divisions isn’t that big a deal. Aizen practically took the 13 divisions down plus more.
If he wasn’t so arrogant towards the end and planned better he would have been more successful.

Zero Squad, the squad of legend, has finally appeared and 3 out of 5 of them look like idiots. Seriously Kubo? A guy with a pompadour, a woman wearing clown make-up, and an Elvis wannabe.
Not very dignified of a squad that trumps all other squads and protect the King.

On the flip side, Ikkaku's Bankai is forever weakened? That sucks.Not a clown make-up. kitsune mask motif. Which pretty much means she is Hikifune(since word hikifune is a play of characters on word kitsune). Such a make-up is not uncommon for owners of high-class brothels and the like.
pompadour style of hairstyle is VERY common amongst yakuza members(especially amongst chinpira, as in yakuza-in-making). Its generally a VERY good advice to avoid people with such hairstyles in Japan and to fear them. If you are a foreigner you are sure to get a few bones broken.
The third one has a traditional budhist warrior monk look, which yet again represents authority.
The fourth one is a gang-version of yamato nadeshiko look - shorter version of the same hairstyle, etc. Not that uncommon amongst female gang members, especially in the past.
The fifth one has a traditional new-age japanese mobster/businessman/celebrity look, especially in movies(for example in Ryuji). Its a mix of traditional Italian mobster look, yakuza hairstyles and american new-age gangster glasses.
So yeah, so far, each RG member is designed in a way to remind of unquestionable (negative) authority figures of japanese culture, which contrasts with more "oldschool bushido code" character designs of rest of SS.
It might be a culture shock for some people, but a major reaction in japan in regards to people dressed that way would be to run the fuck away.
After reading this appearances explanation. if i post a TL;DR. It should be something like this.
Those looks are just like a gang of thugs. Avoid them at any cost.
I guess that's explains why many peoples are disappointed because most of them were expecting to see a group very honorable shinigami's, who serve directly under soul king and will help Ichigo and co in upcoming battles. Not a group of gangsters.
Also i wonder if people really don't know how japanese gangsters look like unless they're pretty new to anime/manga.

Holy lord, the royal guard showed up, please let that hot woman be Hikifune and I want to know how she got stronger than Yamamoto.
It's cool to see Kon again, maybe he will be useful but his comeback seemed misplaced.
Lol none of them is stronger than CC. CC states that no1 is stronger than he is in the last 2000 years.
