Bleach Chapter 512 Discussion

Bleach. Wat r u doin? Bleach. Stahp!



No, seriously, aside from this one panel when we got to see Ichigos face for the first time, this chapter was pretty damn boring. Why did I like Ichigos face? Because it was drawn pretty cool and reminded me of something. Right: there's still Ichigo. Somewhere. Oh right, there he is!

Also... Byakuya is not dead yet? It's bad enough that Kubo is suddenly killing off half of the cast (this is what he should have done during the 500 prior chapters, oh wait, that was when Bleach was still popular), but at least kill them off properly, like Yamamoto. He's not comming back, that's for sure. Now, half-dead Byakuya had to deal with a nice case of death rattle  for weeks, just so we get to see this szene where he tells Ichigo to protect Soul Society. Really? Really?

Hell, we do not even know on if the spirit-zangetsu is still there or if:

a) he remains dead despite the powers being back.

b) since Ichigo fused his powers, the split personality representation is gone and Ichigo is Zangetsu.(which makes more sense, since zanpakutoh spirit is an essentially split-part representation of one's soul, with "learning about your sword" being a metaphor of discovering yourself, and Ichigo supposedly finished that, fusing his powers, thus accepting every part of himself as part of himself)

1. Akon(apparantly in a hidden space above in the sky, together with remaining R&D members) did what he said to Urahara he would do - break into Ichigo's cage.(the black pages are from Ichigo's point of view)

2. Right after that happened, puppeteer sternritter killed Akon(you see Akon die from Ichigo's POV)

3. Puppeteer Sternritter talked to Ichigo asking who the hell he is and started to boast about his own power(You see this from Ichigo's point of view too)

4. Ichigo blitz-killed puppeteer sternritter mid-sentence(which was the explosion in the sky at the end of last chapter)

Its feel like they left out a page or 3. The battle between ichigo and domino must have been a good one because ichigo looks like he got roughed up a little. I wish kubo would have show it instead of implying that it happened....

No man, I don't think that's it. Ichigo's entrance happened elsewhere, above Juha Bach. On page 5, first panel of the Mangapanda scanlation you can clearly see a hole in the sky with a guy standing there, dressed in white. That's not Ichigo. You can see in page 4, fourth panel the tips of the Quincy knives on Akon's back and in page 5 you can clearly see him collapsing. So, the guy in the hole is not Akon either.

My guess is that he's either the Mystery Swordsman or a member of the Zero Division.

Great entrance! Byakuya did say he can't hold on anymore....probably going to die soon then. I wanted to see the zero division. Overall, I loved this chapter.

What a chapter! Ichigo coming in looking mad as hell, Byakuya is so vunerable. Ichigo looks pissed off! I had to reread this chapter and play One Piece OST Overtaken to it while reading it. Bleach 1000 Year Blood War > Naruto 4th Great Ninja war.

Byakuya is near death and is pleading to Ichigo to save the Soul Society and crying.. You know shit is going wrong if the cool emotionless character is crying.

Anyways it was a good chapter.



''Cool emotionless character'' should be dead



He should be dead soon is what is implied in the chapter.. Hence

"I will not last longer"



Who's to say though he doesn't get last minute help from who knows who. From that line though it pretty much saying I'm about to die.



The way I see it, it was a traditional death-monologue, metaphorically handling the responsibility over SS to Ichigo, before Byakuya truly passes away(which i guess was when he finished talking and Ichigo looked all uber badass and serious)



Think you are completely right. Kind of like when Gin was just about to pass away when Ichigo had arrived to fight Aizen his inner monologue was actually similar to what Byakuya said where he'd leave the rest to him. Only Gin's was more of "You are powerful and confident enough where I can die and leave the rest to you" and Byakuya's was more of "Please, before I die grant me this one favor and save Soul Society."
