Well, Ichigo had been cooped up in that prison listening to everyone suffer for a while. Ichigo is probably angrier than we have ever seen him before. And if it helps, we don't know for sure that Shaz Domino is dead.

18pages just to tell me Ichigo finally reaches SS? This chapter can't be worse.. (=.=")

Byakuya having a last moment with Ichigo was kind of a given, the involvement with SS, directly,started with him for Ichigo, thus its only normal that he would be there at Byakuya's end.



Ichigo was drawn in VERY badass way this chapter(shading, everything). Its quite obvious though that something happened that we did not see. Ichigo looks far more beat-down than before and we still do not know what is happening with Urahara (it would be hilarious on if Ichigo did not know too)



Anyway, this seems more and more likely to be shaping towards a three-way conflict between VR, equally as brutal Royal guard(as implied by flashback of pre-yamamoto ss) and remnants of SS with Ichigo.



Also interesting that Ichigo's reiatsu vanished - I am guessing that implies he is back at transcendental levels.



5/5, even though not much happened, but the art was brilliant and Ichigo looked badass.

Bleach shouldn't be compared to other manga. It does not work in that way.

This has GOT to be the most pointless chapter in manga history...a whole chapter wasted...to tell us that "iz accually ichigo hurr durr". Not only was it the biggest fucking cliche, but even the most unexpected character wouldn't have deserved a whole chapter for this intro, our generic main hero who does this all the time doesn't deserve a panel of this.

EDIT: And since it is the beginning of what's supposed to be a longer arc, than that's the moment when evil forces leave.I don't want to see it happen either but Ichigo has hit rock-bottom before, (in every arc in fact,) and the purpose has always been to make him stronger...

Don't think anything he's experienced before can measure up to him losing here, but based on how dark and unpredictable the latest events have been I'd say it's unfortunately a likely future for poor Ichigo...
