- Death of akon by puppeteer sternritter's hand
- Death oh puppeteer sternritter by Ichigo's hand.
- confirmation that Renji and rukia are (somewhat) OK.
- Byakuya's deathbed monologue to Ichigo that parallels Gin's and showcases just how much Ichigo and Byakuya actually came to respect each other, considering how they started, as well as confirmation that Byakuya did grow to care for Renji.
- Showcasing Ichigo's determiantion and adding built up to the upcoming chapters - the fact that this is one of the few times when Ichigo is in plain calm fury
If this was Narutoe, Juha would have already used Yamaji's bankai to resurrect every dead shinigami, so manga could get 100+ pointless "another challenger appears" filler chapters that destroy the already dead character personalities.

Yamamoto's bankai heated up entire SS, vaporizing water and liquids.
As bankai got deactivated, the temperature is dropping again and the vaporized water is turning to rain.

On page 5, first panel of the Mangapanda scanlation you can clearly see a hole in the sky with a guy standing there, dressed in white. That's not Ichigo. You can see in page 4, fourth panel the tips of the Quincy knives on Akon's back and in page 5 you can clearly see him collapsing. So, the guy in the hole is not Akon either.

NEXT PAGE - as the dust and steam is clearing out, he looks/senses Rukia and Renji(the same way he did with his sisters in the FKT final battle) and then moves at insane speed to Byakuya to have that talk.
