@Kanic- Yea through this very in depth discussion about the Real Aizen, it seems to me that we pretty much share a very similar view as to what his true motives are. Like I said above, I used the words, arrogance or pride or whatever basically for lack of a better term. But I don't necessarily use it in a demeaning way. Above I stated that I compare his goals kind of like Vegita, in a sense that it was his "pride" or "destiny" that made him strive to be the greatest. I too admire his boldness and ambition for trying to achieve greatness, and thought it was a worthy endeavor. To Aizen, the ends always justify the means.

Well, that would be the point. Ichigo wasn't suppose to break out. Though I like the idea of Unohana/Zero Squad better.

Kanic - I understand. But you know what would be great? If Byakuya in his re-match(which I'm really looking forward to) with AN would again manifest his pride and actually managed to defeat him WITHOUT bankai but by his swordsmanship and kidou only. That would be ultra cool.

If I remember correctly it was revealed that it was Urahara's kidou which defeated Aizen.

And in Byakuya's hands it was really deadly(like in the fight with Espada) - it was like integral part of his character.

If it were less Ichigo centred and as brutal as now, It could have been a good manga IMO, too bad is too late.

Like I said..Kido appears every now and then, yes I understand that you wanna see it cuz it adds a lot of variety to the fights but....

..unfortunately, yes. You're right that sometimes it plays an integral role(like how Aizen was captured) but not always, and rarely in fights. It was just advice.
