Kubo intentionally made the Quincy the polar opposite of soul reapers (white archers vs. black swordsmen). And its an organization based in the soul society so no arrancar would be apart of it either.

He was utterly happy that SS can't do anything to him(because he became immortal). It was ultimate "giving a middle finger" to the system he despised.

Chapter was all over the place, too many random elements and the attempt at humor was painful. Oh, and look, a new Arrancar. If that was supposed to surprise me, I'm still waiting.

The hell is happening? , I don't get it...

So is this still a "filler arc" ? That shouldn't be part of the real story of the manga? ...
