Bleach Chapter 478 Discussion

dropping in quality is the very definition of naruto

for example the plot twist where Tobi reveals he is a NOBODY! chapter ends abruptly after that completely relevant information!

seriously, could have told that from the start without him telling it LOL

Anyways, there is still TOO MUCH that hasn't been revealed.

Ginjou's motivations and backstory still are a secret ...

The Captains' current goal after Ichigo's decision can only be guessed

How much does Ishida know from his dad, how much does his bastard dad actually know about the world in which he lives

What the hell were Ishin + Urahara gaying around for the entire time? It's still not completely clear ... neither is it clear what motivated the captains to come. Ichigo's decision alone? Yeah, right!

There is so much that hasn't been revealed about this arc and things that people can't answer for SURE without guessing, that one should try to consider this arc quite a relevant element in the plot.

It helped a lot in changing the stage and organizing the actors.

Ichigo went from being decent to just being a fing Dick.

You know I was hoping that somebody was going to jump out and smack some since into Ichigo up till the last second ever since that cliché I trust my friends speech.

Make matters worse Ginzo died for really no reason; Ichigo had no reason to kill him, and even if Ginzo did need to die why did Ichigo have to be the one to do it.(Even if I am slightly glad to see a somewhat good character die, still a shame it happened this way)

To wrap it all off this arc was completely terrible almost no new information, and it was almost a copy and paste of the last arc. Main characters fight, SS comes in steals the show and acts like nothing happened. To make matters worse was anybody expecting FB to actually have a chance against 3 captains. Although tsukishima did put up quite a good fight, bless him.

In some ways I wish Bleach would just end here because I can only see it going downhill, even with a war against Soul King.(It just really cliché and predictable)

Finally I think Kudo needs to grow a pair of balls. I think someone stated it earlier that he brought Grimjaw back to popular demand. What writer does that to his work, he's too afraid to kill off any good characters due to how people might react to it. By doing this were stuck with a bunch of SS members who are completely boring and were never meant to take the main spotlight away from the main characters. To be honest all of this is just holding him back from what could actually be a fantastic creation.

All and all I'm still praying that something going to happen in which Ichigo will end up having to go against SS again (with the exception of a few people) and Ichigo will have to bring in a few old enemies and acquaintances to fight them off. Why you may ask you SS lovers for one simple reason SS is fing OverPowered which makes it boring to read. Still I seriously doubt that’s going to happen. I guess the only question is what's next.

Will whatever comes next I'm sure it will involve main characters getting their asses kick only to have SS come in and save the day.

:( What happened?

Can anyone clear me up? I don't understand anything about this Soul King Arc or what this is gonna be... O_o I've only read the Fullbringer Arc though... but still, i never heard of the soul king.In the previous arc, the war against Aizen... Aizen's goal was to create a key to the royal palace where the soul king or spirit king of Soul Society lives. His last lines before his defeat was about the Spirit King, which he referred to as an "it", he was asking "how could anyone let himself be ruled by a thing like that".

Thats not just alll.

Urahara pretty much agreed with what Aizen was saying there, but just took up a defeatist position. That alone is telling. Urahara AGREED that anyone who knows the truth about SK would want to act that way

There's even earlier indication of something shady going on in SS - the zeroth squad promotions in pendulum arc.

I'm gonna mention popular titles like OP, Naruto, Bakuman, Beelzebub etc all had 10x pacing in a chapter than Kubo... Do they drop in quality? Nope! Kubo just draws every little pointless scene, he's just stretching the manga out, when it's not needed... He's just killing it...

LOL. You mean the manga that had 300 chapter "War" arc which consisted of one overpowered character reviving dozens of dead fodder again and again, main people defeating them with LOVE and then NEXT CHALLENGER being resurrected?

Remind me not to take you seriously form now on, will you? ;]

LOL, Did you even read? My point was the content in a single chapterl, Bleach barely has anything in there, Naruto which has been dragging for a long time now has more content in, not many ideas presented but it has MORE DIALOGUE.

I would take the  current idea of Bleach subtext and implied stuff through panels than  4564 of naruto dialogue which can be summed up with :

"HATRED IS BAD! PEACE IS GOOD!"

"NO you are wrong! HATRED IS GOOD!"

"I LOVE YOU HATRED IS BAD!"

"OKAY LETS HUG"

Here, I summed up the entirety of dialogue of Part II of naruto, you can thank me latter.

Meh, it was okay, but I was expecting something better after a week's delay and the setup that the previous chapter provided.

A few things that bothered me:

1. Riruka. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad she's alive, but it would have been way more epic if she had died protecting Rukia and Ichigo. I'm getting tired of the whole "BAM! Orihime brings everyone back to life" thing.

2. Ginjo's death was pretty anticlimactic and unexpected. Sudden, definitely. I'm still not sure whether I'm okay with that or not.

3. The whole hinted timeskip thing. I think we should at least have 100 more chapters before he jumps ahead another 3 years. For the most part, I just want to see the rest of Soul Society...

4. What happened to Rukia? Please tell me she didn't just go back to Soul Society.

Anyway, I'm hoping that in the next chapter Ichigo and company will take a trip to Yamamoto. Or maybe find out more about Isshin and Urahara. I'm pretty sure the Fullbringers will disappear for a while, and I'm liking the idea of everyone vs. Soul King.

Sherlock Holmes was brought back to life.

And wasn't the only one at all.

You see, most writer, be it Kubo or anyone else, write with the intention to sell and not to create a piece of art. That is especially true for mangaka since they get disposed of if they drop too far in the ranking. Taking fan's opinion to a certain extent is something important to do.

Also mangaka have editors behind their back and no matter how it might look, the editor has the last word.

Kubo said that he is bored of Bleach and wanted to go back to his old manga, he isn't milking Bleach. He is probably not allowed to end it since Bleach is a popular manga of shounen jump. Another case like that was dragon ball that was supposed to end after the frieza saga but was greatly extended because the mangaka wasn't allowed to end it.

Yet Kubo, even though he does not want to continue it, still try to makes the plot consistent and interesting and does quite well at that.

I'm getting tired of people thinking that mangaka or writer in general write with the purpose of creating a masterpiece.

Masterpiece are not things that sell, if you want to make a living out of it you must give the readers what they want.

Now who have the guts of saying out loud these kind of things? I give kudos to him because he didn't try to sugarcoat his reason with shit.
