If its still zangetsu (and not some other-getsu or dead-zangetsu), its quite clear that his design changed. Its more ornamented more "complicated" than the straight out brute-ish normal design he had before.



Hmm.. I've been wondering what the reason for the change in the form of both Zangetsu and Ichigo's outfit.

-is it because of the immense amount of reiatsu given to Ichigo from the Captains? That being said, Ichigo is now so much more powerful than before.

-or that he managed to dig out some innate power when he mastered his fullbring?

Hmmm... I would like to think that it is still Zangetsu. If I didnt rmb wrongly, the zanpakutou is linked to the wielder's soul. Since Ichigo's soul technically is the same, then I would think that this zanpakutou is still Zangetsu.

Im sure that his inner world would definitely change. But I'll be sad if Zangetsu-Ossan isnt there anymore. ):





Oh and does anyone find it weird that although Ginjo has a bankai and thus use shinigami powers with that sword being a zanpakutou (note that Tsukishima told Inoue that his sword is a fullbring instead of a zanpakutou), his outfit is nothing like the shinigami's (i.e. hakuma). Looks more like what an espada would wear..

i wanted more this week

5/5 almost for the badassery and Bankai-ness alone. That, plus any and every panel involving Rukia and the captains is welcome as always. Extremely nice to actually see the inner workings of Ichigo's thought process to, what with acknowledging how others are smarter than him but being self-aware of it.



I'm not competely sold on Ichigo's new bankai, although it is cool; what I like about it is that he looks confined by it somehow, as though the power he chose came with a price. He looks like he's wrapped in chains, which he is, in more ways than one.



Also, although Ginjou resembles Aizen a bit too much for me in the last page, he still looks cooler than ButterflAizen, and I have to agree with Fai on the sword. That thing looks fricking awesome. I'm genuinely invested in this arc, which is more than I could ever say for FKT.



Bring it, Kubo. I'm begging you.

Ichigo acted like a main character, for once.

Ichigo's old bankai was more cooler.

I guess it will really take time to get used to his new bankai.
