Rmb that hollow-Ichigo is now under the control of Zangetsu? Since Ichigo's shinigami powers are still stronger than his hollow, hollow-Ichigo will only come out/appear when Zangetsu summons him. But with that being said, Im not too sure either about the status of Ichigo's hollow powers, given that he has 'mastered' the new power of fullbring. But my guess is that the hollow powers are still within him, since the only thing taken away after he did the Final Getsuga Tenshou was his shinigami powers.
No.
Zangetsu and Hichigo were one entity but since Ichigo didn't accept Hichigo, which incarnated his instinct, his lust for power and many other thing he disliked and was scared of, he uncounsiously splitted his power in two.
When he accepted Hichigo and his power was but one again, that is this whole power that he had to sacrifice to use the FGT.
Logical proof: Let alone shinigami power, if he had hollow power after using FGT then he would still possess reiatsu and power. The fact that he was powerless and had lost all of his reiatsu show that he didnt keep any surnatural power.
Also the background of the world is very very very blur as for now.
I beleive that the shinigami and hollow are a kind of 'ying yang' as in both shinigami and hollow originate from the same powersource : Souls
Now what is a soul? Why does shinigami and hollow are different, rather what is different about them? Both clearly use reiatsu so what is the 'wall' that separate these two being?
Hollow has been made to symbolise instinct, lust and power since the start while Shinigami has been made to symbolise control, technique and intelligence.
Hollow has been shaped as beast while soul and shinigami has been shaped as humanoid figure.
If the border between shinigami and hollow is as thin as I beleive it to be then Ichigo didn't have any hollow power to begin with but separated uncounciously his power into the two groups that he knew, shinigami and hollow.
Zanpakuto's spirit aren't shinigami, people usually associate Zangetsu with a shinigami but he is not, you can look at Renji's zan spirit to see that the form does not matter.
Ichigo despised hollow but he shared a lot of quality with them (Which every human does as well) and he willingly discarded that part that he himself associated to hollow.
Accepting Hichigo, the dark side of his hearth, was accepting the totallity of his power.
To put it in rpg term for tldr (random number as well which serve to illustrate my point):
Ichigo only using the 'shinigami' side of his power = 100
Ichigo using part of his 'hollow' side (aka mask) + the totality of his shinigami form = 150
Ichigo using most of his hollow side + the totality of his shinigami form (form he defeated Ulq in) = 250
Ichigo accepting the totally of his hollow side and the totallity of his shinigami power (no external hollow atribute, the form he fought Aizen with in Bankai) = 300
The only reason why the mask was a boost to Ichigo was because he wasn't using part of his hollow power at all, so of course additioned to his shinigami power it was a plus.
Now he is constanly using both of his power equally, putting a mask would be only for show as he is already using the entirety of his power.
I ended up writting a tl;dr, oh well.
