Bleach Chapter 461 Discussion

I really did like this, and I know we just saw a sliver of what Ichigo can do right now. And now from what we've seen, I think this means Bleach kind of took the Yu Yu Hakusho route with beating his predecessor. Can't wait to see more... but I have to ask... why the fuck does Ginjo have his powers back? And how could no one sense them? And how come he didn't sense ANY of the captains that showed up? I hope things get explained a bit.

He's using Ichigo's abilities plus his own? Bitch, that's cheating. WTF?



Interesting episode and plot twist. Dude must like M. Night movies.

yes but well, wolfie was not made to stab and skewer his most precious person . Toshiro was. If it wasn't for Aizen, Tosen wouldn't have died, so Komamura lost his best friend because of Aizen.

I can understand about Hirako Shinji but what i don't understand is Hanatarou. did he promoted as well and become vice captain of fourth squad? If yes then Shiba Ganju deserve a captain rank.

AWESOME!!  It's the Chapter Black Saga with the main antagonist a rouge former spirit detective all over again!  And NO!  I'm not at all saying that with sarcasm!  I'm genuinely liking the route this is going!  And I don't really care how original or unriginal the plot is.  That's not a make it or break it deal for me.  The make or break it deal for me is does the plot interest me in terms of what kind of what kind of challene Ichigo and the other main characters are facing this time around and what they need to do in order to solve the problem, which is stopping a former subtitute soul reaper.



Those questions are answered for the most part with a couple of exceptions.  The first question is just how much of a threat is Kuugo Ginjo since the most we've seen is him and Tsukishima injure Uryu, basically brainwash everyone Ichigo knows and strip Ichigo of his powers.  I'm not understanding what exactly it is about Kuugo that is making him threatening on the same level as Aizen where he plotted to use the entire Karakura town population to make the king's key and open the gateway to the soul king.  Or at least I'm not seeing that yet.  And I guess that leads to my next question.  Just why did Kuugo give up his position as substitute soul reaper in the first place?

Terrible, terrible and again terrible. This chapter was so filled to the brim with completely white panels, that I thought I was reading again Deicide. Because when you're one of the big 3, you can leave completely white pages and call it "art style".



And again, we discover yet another fuck-up from the SS. I guess artificial souls, the Vizards and Rukia's trial weren't big enough failures, so we'll see another reason why SS is made by dumbasses.

I was not disappointed with this chapter, it was no better then any of the others, so no reason to feel down.  I think all criticisms have already been said (90% of which I agree with).  So I guess the only things that are left to say are what I DID like.



1. Doggie Taicho anyone?  He got one panel, and he has new frills.  Maybe he took fashion hints from that pig Omaeda.  I hope Komamura get's more attention eventually, he's such an adorable kicked puppy.

2. Toshiro = bishie over 9000 now.

3. Renji looks like a gansta.

4. Byakuya is pretty as always.

5. Any panel that was showing something besides white and lines.

6. Insight into the first substitute at least gives a feeling of continuity.  What I'm looking for is a canon Hell Arc, or Aizen Pwned All of You without You Ever Knowing Arc, or maybe a Grimmjow Returns as the Sexy Beast Arc, or you know, a story where Inoue and Ishida can, you know, do something?



I was looking forward to an arc minus Ichigo's powers.  Just think what could have been done with that?  Karin, Ishida, Isshin, Orihime, and perhaps Rukia as MCs?  It would have given us a whole new, fresh manga for a while.  We all love Ichigo, but it has been proven we can go at least twelve weeks without him.
