Bleach Chapter 461 Discussion

Terrible, terrible and again terrible. This chapter was so filled to the brim with completely white panels, that I thought I was reading again Deicide. Because when you're one of the big 3, you can leave completely white pages and call it "art style".

Actually, its only Bleach (out of Naruto and One Piece, I assume you're talking about) that utilizes the blank page concept.  The other two don't really do so, especially One Piece, where every panel is filled to the brim with detail and ink, for the most part.

But man, c'mon.  You don't like those sexy, blank pages of nothing?  It's the background we're all clamoring for!  Because the background in Bleach only consists of white space, of course.  No trees, no houses, no nothing.  =P

I no I am really, REALLY going to nark some people here.  But let me just say that Bleach is once again STRONGLY similar to Yu Yu Hakusho.  We start the arc out with humans with powers who are then training Ichigo and then Ichigo is now running into the first Substitute Shinigami (aka Sensui) who was the reason why the Head Captain Yamamoto was suspicious of Ichigo, because he did not want him to turn into Sensui/Ginjou.

The similarities are getting extremely obvious, even the progression of the arcs are almost exactly the same.  Whoever wants to say I am wrong, go watch Yu Yu Hakusho, something that aired during Tite Kubo's growing up years.

Bleach is two inches away from outright plagiarism.except yu yu hakusho is like the second best shonen manga ever

The way Ichigo got his powers back seemed somewhat lame.

Chad alone PRE-timeskip could have gone on equal footing with most of captains minus the power four and byakuya..

You are joking right? At the best we saw his power was in the hollow world and he couldn't even touch an espada. His gave his best punch to Noitora and he didn't even feel it and you think he could go head to head with a captain? Lets not forget that the guy who made Chad look like a bug and defeated him in a second was then beaten by a captain.

Anyway the first substitute shinigami doesn't seem that much bullshit to me because the guy showed he had a substitute badge from the first time he appeared and also Ukitake after the SS indicated that one was given before but the younger captains seemed to know nothing about it so it seemed to most like he just made the thing up.

What might be stupid is why would soul society that despises having humans go around as shinigami and staff like that would want Ichigo to go back to stop being a normal human? Certainly with Aizen locked-up they feel pretty safe that they can handle other matters.

Maybe Urahara told them that Ichigo was in danger but still couldn't they just sent two-three captains to handle the full-brings instead of giving Ichigo powers? That's still helping him isn't it? What was the need of powering Ichigo?

If they were so willing to give Ichigo powers anyway, simply because they felt obliged to him then why not try giving him powers from the start and not have the melodrama of "you are never gonna see us again"?

Wait... just because they weren't shown, that doesn't mean they weren't there. It could just be Kubo's intention to wait with the revealing of all the promotions. The sword was standing in front of boss Yamamoto so the transfers of reiatsu could have been done right then and there.

No it does not. Hence why them not being there could range from "oh just late urahara-style" to "plotting revolution". I was just pointing out that apart from obvious, Mayuri, there were captains NOT present(thus not reacting) to scene.

Also, besides Mayuri, I don't think there's a single person in the Gotei 13 who's interested in hurting Ichigo... and Mayuri doesn't like anybody, so there's really nothing special about his hate for Ichigo.

Ichigo specifically mocked Mayuri in face. Mayuri thus promised that upon thei rnext meeting, he will make sure to make Ichigo's life a living hell.

Then we had the whole bit about him not caring who wins in fkt - implying that whatever he found in szayel's lab is something more important.

Dude whether Mayuri likes it or not when the commander orders something they do it. I'm pretty sure he gave reiatsu too as all of them did, shown or not shown.

As about hiss threats. You are just over-analyzing. The guy throws threats to everyone that even looks him badly. Ichigo isn't the only one he threw threats at. His a crazy dog but his on leash. His threats are pointless.

What I don't get is why Toshiro is there, what did Ichigo ever do to be frwends with him? I guess bringing in a popular character will boost the attention given to Bleach in a chapter I guess.

toshiro wants Aizen dead. DEAD DEAD. Especially after hinamori trick he pulled. Ichigo defeated Aizen.

So did Wolfie, but he isn't there. I guess Toshiro is a rep of the "Aizen pissed us off" club.

yes but well, wolfie was not made to stab and skewer his most precious person . Toshiro was. If it wasn't for Aizen, Tosen wouldn't have died, so Komamura lost his best friend because of Aizen.

which does not indulge a same value of personal interest and grudge like being made to stab your would-be waifu does. Oh come on... both Komamura got his one and only (at the time) close friend taken from him by Aizen's shitty grin, Shiro was lucky that Momo wasn't killed twice because of Aizen, so who's at a lose? and... this is stupid actually, they may aswell have decided it on straws who went to Karakura with Byakuya, Renji and co. but Toshiro wins via popularity punch

Dude more pointless than Toshiru being there is your stupid questions of why his there. Fai's answer isn't really satisfying at all but the thing is that there is no reason for an answer.

You seem like just some hater of the character because his kind of popular with female audience and you just ask stupid questions because you hate seeing him.

Simple. The commander order three captains to go to Karakura and Toshiru was one of them. There isn't any reason for any more explanation than that. Otherwise no matter what three show-upped we will have to invent some explanation for their haters.

Clearly Ginjou is Aizen's half-brother (who was Ichigo's half-brother) thus making him Ichigo's quarter-brother. He will soon hollify and decimate Renji as he attempts to show off his new found techniques, resulting in the remaining captains to step in. Ichigo attempts to help them but realizes he can no longer remain in Bankai form due to being unaccustomed with his new powers. The battle between Shinigami and fullbringers slow to a crawl and the fullbringers retreat, providing Kubo 3-4 weeks to think of his next big twist.
