I too was very impressed with the values Chad was raised by!  Using the power you have to protect those around you doesn't particularly seem like a new idea, but controlling yourself and showing a gentle demeanor when you are insanely strong sounded so new and original in an anime! It is a principle I've heard before in other circumstances (and it always warms my hearts!), but in anime is the first time!

Well that is awesome. Some more mystery is added to the series. Along with all the ghosts and stuff now we also have humans with superhuman qualities. I wonder just how much power his arm has in this form. I am sure it is at least enough to destroy this hollow. Also finally a character out there that is displayed to have been raised the right way with morals that are just not found in people anymore.

Cool chapter, cool panels. The scene with the grandfather is quite memorable.

If Ishida is able to take down Hollows seconds after they appear, why didn’t he kill the one chasing Chad and Karin? Of course it was needed to develop Chads character, but it could have been done way better.

                        So Mr. Chad saves little Karin and they become a a short lived tag team that runaway together from the fat-assed Hamster/Chinese Lion Hollow that's chasing them... Wow so they discover that they have powers between each other... but they're not so sure what's the relation between the "Monsters" and Ichigo.... So then Chad's powers are awakened after been heavily wounded by the Hollow... The big Fist that Protect the Weak.... And we know a lil' bit more of his past... Hmmm I liked this chappie
