Abut th Arena barrier exploding: It wasn't an effect of the spell. It was a result of Negi striking Rakan with the spell. It's basic physics. When Rakan was struck with the spell, his will power defense & natural magic resistance came into play. So the clash of the 2 forces (Rakan's defense & Negi's spell) caused a huge amount of the condensed energy to pour out causing the barrier to break as the energy generated was waaaaaaaaay beyond the barrier's threshold.

She is immortal in the sense that her body do not grow old, she still can get killed but it's not like doing so is an easy task.

Experience means nothing, she blocked it with her power alone, experience would have helped her dodging it or predict it but when it comes to blocking only her strengh matter.



Eva saw Rakan as an absurdly tough monster, this same Rakan had to dodge Negi's attack because Negi could damage him I think that it is absurb that she block this same attack with ease while this 'immortal fool' had to dodge it for him not to get damaged.

I would also note that Negi is supposely way stronger in this form than in his normal form.

Instead of looking at how Eva survived that blow effortlessly, lets look at Negi. How did Negi avoid the AOE then? I mean he was pretty close.



He is in a form where he can activate Raiten Taisou which would usually need him to absorb the thousand bolt to begin with. You can assume that he can revert to ligthing mode and dark mode whenever he want (Since he is actually doing it), if he become lighting I can't see why the thousand bolt would damage him anyway.



Also Negi's Magia erebea is more and more going on absorbing offensive magic to enchant his body, it wouldn't be strange if he could absorb the recoil of an AoE spell.

So, whadda-ya-know.



Eva DID appear before chapter 300. My guess was correct.



And, of course, she was as awesome as ever. Eating chips naked while playing retro games.



Also...Negi's going to become a demon? I did not see that coming.

Ever try deflecting a punch? Way easier than blocking!



Oh yeah deflecting a spell that cover about a 250m radius and maybe more because we couldn't see the full range of the attack because of the arena barrier who pretty much stopped it going further is easely deflectable far enough so that nobody get hit.

So Eva's phantasm is actually living in the scroll, and likes playing retro games and eating chips while naked... well, probably NES was high tech when that scroll was made XD

honestly though, this has been a series of power-ups for negi for a while now. it just so happens that the accompanying story is engaging.



it is good to see that they do this well enough otherwise it would feel bland....like bleach.

This kind of scenario isn't new, but I guess you might think so since Bleach's in the hype right now (somehow). Of course, to compare this to Bleach's scene we would have to ignore that Negi's berserk demon mode is actually pretty smart as a fighter, and so far it has not given him any other ability than those Negi had already developed after learning Magia Ebera. Taking that in mind is still left to know if this will result in a powerup for Negi or just a way to prevent a "powerdown", haha. (My bet being the "powerdown prevention)

About it being rushed... well, they used the scroll because they're one ship trip away from Fate so it would be more unnatural if they weren't trying to rush things.
