Thats pretty much the only two things capable of it. I am more on that it was one of Crows, since Crows were hyped as "powerful" things.
It will not make any sense, if Allen is the one to killed his Master. And though, he is being observed by the Crow members.
If a single Crow(Link) is capable to kill someone who had 2 innocences in his hand and he is even prepare to see what is going to happen to the door, then this is NOT even make any sense to me at all.
And yeah, you are forgetting something Link said about Cross was doing something to his Golem. This one point can proved that Cross has already prepared something to happen. Who know if this was all plan by him.

Crows could be immune to innocence powers and to fight them, Allen would need the "dark powers", completing the meaning of "Gray"
