Ahaha, so my thoughts about the meaning of "Timcampy cover" back then were true.

Now as for who is killer. Only two possibilites:

Allen

"Link"(the one of Crows)

Thats pretty much the only two things capable of it. I am more on that it was one of Crows, since Crows were hyped as "powerful" things.

EDIT: NOw Obviously its not suicide - had he shot himself, he would have fallen on the ground, not sitting in there, instead he was shot from close range away, hence the blood being higher than cross is  cross was pushed away by shot, with bullet mostly going through, splattering the blood behind him, then he "slid" down into that position (the trail of blood shows this) at the same time dropping his own gun

Lets think.

Earl has a power strong enough to wipe out the entire order - why is he playing around?

Maybe the same is for this side too. Fuhrer has strong enough forces to do something, but is simply waiting for something. Here comes the whole "other side of war".

Cross would have planned it and all - but you are forgetting that someone was behind the door - and in the last page we see him on the window - and torn curtain, meaning that there WAS a struggle happening.

Let's not forget on how Innocence works - and how Hitler's forces are the only ones with a methods to "cancel it out". Hence why we(and entire Black Order) did NOT hear Cross firing his overkill-gun ^^"

Crows could be immune to innocence powers and to fight them, Allen would need the "dark powers", completing the meaning of "Gray"

Either He was overpowered VERY fast, or his Innocence was not working.Well it is not like I never agree with you that Cross was murdered. But my point is that your theory for Allen and Link to killed Cross is way too impossible for me to believed it and I know in Shounen nothing is impossible but still.

We still have no idea of what exactly behind the door and it could be anything. Well the last is one of the worst direction to tell us of what exactly happened in that room and you know Cross is capable of using magic so what we saw could be what he was planning. The most important thing about this murdering that I noticed is that Cross seems to know what is going to happen. Well you see how can one is so surprised to gone as far as to pick his own gun just because someone is knocking the door?

Well, if you say Hitler's forces have a way to killed one of the strongest Exorcist like Cross in on night without anyone noticed it then why did they gather newbies Exorcist anyway? It wouldn't make much sense to me if you say they only know how to counter their own Exorcist. And I don't really see a point for Hitler to silence Cross in a secret way either. Even though they don't love their Exorcist but it is still pointless to kill Cross now.

As for the Earl, it is still unclear of how strong he is and as you have said above if he has a power that is strong enough to wipe out the entire order - why does he still need the EEG so bad to create Akuma's force? Well it must be something has to do with the "other side of war" as you mention it.

Alright, I will tell you what is in my mind right now. Do you still remember there was a time they mentioned about the HEART could have already awaken? And the person who has the heart is hiding itself. Well they are not really sure about it but they even said that it could be anyone among of Exorcists? So my suspicion is only THAT person is capable of doing something like that to Cross, otherwise it could be Cross who tries to make an escape way.

I really hope that Cross is not dead. But when I read it before the only suspect I could think about was that 'L' dude and Howard Link. They are way to suspicious and that 'L' guy has something against Allen. Perhaps it could have even been a Noah or something I guess since Cross was using his his Innocence(the gun). But I'm mostly for the first reason. Because it looked like the 'L' guy was up to something when the meeting was done.

It also seemed that Cross was expecting something, since he started to pull out his gun when there was a knocking on the door.

After reading over something that the 'L' guy said. And I quote "We have no guarantee he won't turn on us" He's referring to the 14th in Allen obviously meaning Allen too. I wouldn't put it past them to be the one's to do that to Cross in an attempt to set the blame on Allen. Afterall they seem to do things on there own terms, to suit whatever it is they want. For Example: Forcing Lenalee to sync back with her Innocence even though it wasn't certain what would happen to her if she did. So what would be getting rid of a General that doesn't return, or report back to HQ to bait and get rid of a possible threat and Noah.

Plus there's that whole "Another side of the war thing"

*sighs* I just really hope Cross is ok and Allen gets out of this with the minimum amount of scars this situation can cause.

Well anyway in the next chapter with be tomorrow. Where we hear Allen's fate and probably everyone will find out about Cross.
