Hunter x Hunter Chapter 399 Discussion

Was a pretty fluid chapter, nothing much except the consistency of the tension through the last few batches. I’m glad we don’t have a goofy character there just for comedy relief and the arc continues its tone as it must. Makes up for my personal favourite arc so far. Pika hasn’t been seen since ch 388 which makes it 14th chapter till 400 when we finally see him. One of the many anomalies that the saga doesn’t revolve around a single character and his motives makes me see through all the other perspectives which might have been hidden otherwise.



But yeah, I’m worried about Hinrigh and definitely wouldn’t want him dying, at least in the current batch. And Nobu solo screen time is mandatory when talking about the troupe. One of the most developed members of the PT imo. Waiting for the last chap before another hiatus which is probs a cliffhanger. Would be a very Togashi style to end the SW in the next 3 batches he has planned out hehe. Just pray this hiatus is not as horrendous as the previous, can’t wait for things to unravel.

Nobunaga and Hinrigh finding the hideout had me at the edge of my seat. Thankfully, they could easily understand the nen abilities of the Heil-ly members. The trap door and the eviction ability make it very hard to infiltrate properly though.



Next chapter should be even more intense, can't wait to see Heil-ly's and the troupe's reactions

They really need to send long ranged attackers into that hideout. Nobunaga, a closed ranged fighter, was not suited to handle those Heil-ly members. Someone like Franklin would do the job.



This is way i love the power system of HxH. Even a rookie has a chance of besting a pro because in this world, apart from strength, smarts and choosing the right ability play a big part. Who wouldve have thought we would see Nobunaga's sword taken away so easily?



That being said, the next chapter is the 400th one! The series has definitely come a long way

These last 2 chapters are fire! I'm loving it, was about time this shit got interesting, this arc dragged for too long but finally, things are getting spicy.



And those "amateur" guys were just chilling there, they didn't even consider the enemy a threat, they are way too overconfident with their abilities, anyways, good shit here and I loved this chapter.

I really don't care about any of the characters introduced this arc...

Great chapter once again, this mafia subplot is getting more and more interesting
