I saw someone on Twitter right after the time 395 released that the killer we particularly recognize looks the same as one of Tserri's personal guards. I couldn't really determine if both were the same person even to this day but it wouldn't be far fetched to say that now considering the info we got this chp

God that was one brutal chapter. Thanks to Renko we didn’t actually see that face; that tree tweet really will never be the same again; the time-skip connecting to chapter 114 explains a lot about the troupe’s evolution over the years. The Phantom Troupe was born, the mystery behind Sheila and the Kurta massacre is still covert.



I am a bit disappointed we never really got fully back into the actual story of HxH. 3 chapters won't be enough.



Some Hisoka is chilling and then even asked to have himself removed from any conflict.

Phantom Troupe going round aimlessly no conflict.



We didn't see any progress on the princes either.

So in the end they became the very same thing they hate, evil bastards doing evil things, like whatever man, meh.



I like the Spiders though but I like them in the present, not the past, I just couldn't give a rats ass about their backstories for whatever reason, probably has something to do with the meh art style or meh cliché backstory or both, eitherway, I wasn't too invested in this backstory but I do like the Spiders and Hisoka, they are the best thing this manga has offered so far.



I'm just glad that backstory is over, can we please move on with this fucking story already? shit has dragged on for way too long and now we will probably get another fucking hiatus but I guess this can't be avoided, if the mangaka is not healthy then he needs all the rest he can get so yeah, having a hiatus would be best for him.

Chapter 397 was if not one of the best manga chapters I have ever read. Togashi did a excellent job illustrating how the phantom groupe was created.
